A well laid out keyboard

Advantages: Comfortable for a normal layout keyboard, silent
Disadvantages: Required software installation to work under Windows XP

. I could go on and list all of the small improvements the keyboard brings into the market, but I don't think it's necessary. None of them are truly revolutionary, but as a whole, they make for an incredible typing experience. Now, regarding the mouse... The mouse is ambidextrous, and the button on your 'left' side is not comfortable to push at all. However, it won't get pushed by accident too easily, so unless you really need two buttons, you can just ignore it. The sensor quality is fine enough for everyday use. For gaming you're probably going to need a corded mouse anyway. However efficient the battery use may be, you'll still hate it when they run out of power right when you're about to frag something! I've been having sweat problems with the 'butt' of the mouse, but the lateral grips stay dry. REVIEW UPDATE: It's been more than ...

Microsoft wireless mouse & keyboard

Advantages: looks smart, easy to install & use, responsive
Disadvantages: batteries wear out quickly

I purchased this wireless mouse and keyboard set when I got a new computer as I thought it would look smarter and more modern than the wire mouse and keyboard that came with it. I chose this set as I felt that Microsoft had a good reputation and, at £30, this represented good value for money. This was easy to connect up with the computer, just a simple plug in to the front of the box. That was all that was required to install. The mouse and keyboard each take two batteries. I find that the batteries wear down really quickly. This is frustrating, especially when typing where letters can be missed out in your work, or quite often, the space bar won't function. The batteries in the mouse wear out especially quickly. Having said that, this is the only flaw I can find with the product. The keyboard is comfortable to type ...

Review of Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 2000 - keyboard , mouse

Keyboard

Advantages: Design
Disadvantages: Expensive

This is a good quality keyboard that offers good value for money in the short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be anle to get a cheaper version next year. It incorporates most of the latest features and technology that is currently available on the market. The consumer will have to spend a short period of self-training in order to become fully acquainted with using the product. This can be achieved fairly efficiently by making reference to the guide/instructions that comes in the box. After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore have to recommend the product. ...
