Perfect for first time users...
Advantages: Cheap, Easy to use, Fun and opens a new world on your computer Disadvantages: No proper special features.
...and they had this cheap Trust tablet in stock. In a moment of madness I purchased it. And boy am I glad I did. It was extremely easy to install on my Vista Premium laptop. And as soon as I started to use it I was hooked. Paint suddenly became my best friend and within minutes I was drawing little cartoons. I have had so much fun with it on photoshop aswell and wonder how I done little art bits without it. The fun increases when you discover great ... ...are some great little features on this tablet like a sheet of plastic on the top that lifts off so you can do tracing. It's only photo size so if you wanted to trace a picture from a magazine you'd have to fold the page to fit it in. The pen has a button on it that you press and instead of drawing it erases. The pen is very smooth to use and the lines that come out on the screen are great, I was worried that when drawing a circle it would come out ...

For graphic illustrator
Advantages: Good low-end pressure sensitive tablet Disadvantages: It got lower resolution than Wacom's other board
...have over 1k level (like WACOM intuos), but I could never tell the difference.
If you are one of those people who once upon a time played with microsoft paint trying to draw something with your mouse, you will realised not only it is hard to draw with a mouse in any precision, the colour of lines are also annoyingly uniformed.
Pressure sensitivity allows different shades of one colour on a continuous line. The result is like a real life pen drawing. ... ...etc.
The advantage of Wacom is that all the functions of the pen is supported by these companies. Hence all the buttons will work as intended. ----------------------------------------------------
Conclusion
If you are interested in drawing or painting in computer, buy this as your first board and you wont be disappointed. But if you simply want a board for writing or mouse replacement, you should opt for a cheaper board, since they will perform ...

Value pen digitiser
Advantages: Good pen, no mouse clogging Disadvantages: Sometimes goes crazy, no mouse wheel
I always wanted a digital tablet for my computer so I was really excited when I got this. It looks really slick, the active area on the pad is about A6 size (quarter the area of A4), but it's plenty most of the time.
The software provided is mostly just some odd games and painting apps to show you what you can do with your pen, but you'd be better off using a proper paint package rather than relying on the bundle if you want to be doing photo manipulation ... ...issues and they are fine, they enable the pen mode so that the pointer moves to the position that the pen is at, rather than mouse mode where the pointer is dragged as you move the pen along, like a mouse. You can use it without drivers in XP but it will only support mouse mode whether you use the pen or the mouse.
Accuracy is pretty good, not as much as you'd get from a professional tablet but really useful for retouching in Photoshop!
The surface ...

Fun and Functional
Advantages: Fast and easy for graphics, more precise than a mouse Disadvantages: A bit tricky to setup some functions
The Genius Wizard Pen is a Graphics Tablet that provide pen-type pointing device for use with drawing, painting, graphics and photographic applications and is cordless, so there's no cables restricting your movement as you work.
The Pen replaces the functions of the mouse and offers more features, like Pressure sensitivity. When pressure is applied when using the pen, the Graphics Tablet detects the level and passes this information into the program ... ...the information to change width of the line, the colour of the line and vary the area of the spray when using an airbrush tool by simply adjusting the angle you hold the pen at or by pressing down harder on the pad, it takes a bit of time to train yourself to getting the right results but thats all part of the fun.
The pen buttons can be customized for fast browsing up/down or left/right on the Internet or in documents, Zoom in and out or change ...

A good graphics tablet for someone with a budget
Advantages: Cheap, cordless mouse and pen Disadvantages: the mouse is not very good, the pen can crack easily
...onto amazon and found the Nisis graphics tablet. I was going to go for the smaller version (the G3) but decided to get the G5 as it was quite a bit larger.
When the tablet arrived I very nearly lost the spare nibs! they are very small and in a small plastic packaging. I was excited to get the tablet to work so I quickly read the instructions and it was easy enough to install! I had it working within a few minutes, its quite hard to get used to if ... ...the tablet for a few days I virtually ditched the mouse, it is not very good at all! I found that when your trying to click, it moved and is incredibly hard to use! So I found it much easier to use the pen for doing everything on my computer. I brought my tablet in June 2003 and I still don't use the mouse that comes with it!
The tablet is a great size and I am glad I did not choose the smaller version because there would not be enough room to do ...
