Zboard Merc, no keyset changing
Review of Ideazon Zboard MERC Gaming Keyboard ZXP-1000 - keyboard by
esluggage
Advantages: Easily map keys to your preferred configuration, no need to change keysets.
Disadvantages: I really cant think of one right now
I was very dubious about using this, but it came to me as a present so I dutifully went to my pc and tried it out. I followed the instructions (very simple) and installed the software on the pc, plugged it in and it worked straight away. The software needs to connect to the internet to download some updates, but it is all automatic and easy to follow. Once installed, you choose the preset configuration for the game you are about to play and it automatically ... ...This means that all the keys are set within easy reach of your left hand, and the angle of the board makes it really comfortable. You can customise all of these setups to your requirements, and change them with ease. The software is easy to use, easy to update and very user friendly. Having the dedicated section of the keyboard on the left side for all your gaming controls means that everything within easy reach, and this has improved my gaming performance. ...

Streamlined Xbox 360 messaging
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Messenger Kit - keyboard by
All4Slade
Advantages: Makes messaging a breeze, Can be used without being drawn away from a game
Disadvantages: Reduces controller battery life
After spending most of my time in front of a keyboard, i found text entry of any sort on a gaming console to be a tedious task. The Xbox live messenger kit is a tidy little bundle consisting of a wired headset and a neet little qwerty keyboard called a chatpad that clicks in between the 2 handles of the Xbox 360 controller. Although adding quite a chunk to the mass of the Xbox 360 controller, the chatpad is surprisingly streamline and imposes verry ... ...It contains 47 keys including independent number keys and a messenger hot key. The Letters also have 3 shift states giving a healthy collection of symbols for whatever you might need them for. It comes equipped with a jack for the wired headset and a backlight that isnt intrusive on the eyes and allows for use in dimly lit areas. It would have been nice if you could disable the backlight when its not needed because i find it puts slight dent in my ...

MSN on 360? Multitasking? Fantastic!
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Messenger Kit - keyboard by
cstanley_2
Advantages: Perfectly designed to fit
Disadvantages: Sometimes unresponsive with some keys
MSN on Xbox 360? Perfect!
This ergonomically-designed device fits perfectly and neatly into the bottom of the controller, and has been designed perfectly so that it does not hinder gameplay whilst connected.
MSN can be accessed as usual via the dashboard, or if you have conversations ongoing, you can press the little MSN symbol on the chatpad, and a very little translucent screen pops up during gameplay, so you can type and receive the lastest ... ...intuitive, it is a very useful tool.
Unfortunately, it does take some getting used to, and sometimes the keys are unresponsive or need hard pressing to ensure that the character appears on-screen.
Also unfortunate, this means that sometimes I give up and resort to signing in on my Mac and continuing gameplay.
This does not affect the overall review, however - it is a fantastically designed piece of equipment and is a definite recommendation for ...

Keysonic ACK- 540 RF
Review of Keysonic ACK-540 RF - keyboard , touchpad by
TOMMY3192
Advantages: Sleek, stylish, easy to use
Disadvantages: scrool part of touch pad a little too sensitive
After using this product for the best part of a year, i think it is only right to write a review. There are no major problems with this product, yet it does not stand out as one of the best in the market. It has a great range of use, being able to be used upto ten metres away from the sensor. As for spywade's problem above, i experinced this, but by simply holding down the ''FN'' button and pressing num lock, you can turn this off, and switch to ... ...numbers. It is stylish and sleek, and doesn't look ghastly at all. The numbers do tend to fall off a little easy, but it is a simple case of putting them back into place. The battery life lasts a tidy time, helped by the feature of automatic shut off after ten minutes of non-use. The touchpad works well, and is not too sensitive, but is slightly irritating when you accidentally press the scroll part, sending your screen up and down. All-in-All, not ...

Logitech - you've done it again!
Review of Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 710 Laser - keyboard , mouse by
technosplat
Advantages: responsive, sleek, ergonomic
Disadvantages: None
...other than Logitech. Logitech have a good reputation for good reason - their products are durable, long-lasting, functional and (dare I say it?) beautiful.
Sitting stylishly on my black glass desk, the Logitech cordless desktop performs amazingly. Using Photoshop for hours a day, and spending the rest editing web pages, I can't afford to have an inferior quality setup. This cordless desktop is the best yet.
The keys are quiet but responsive, well-laid ... ...in black. The silver trim contains a host of useful extra buttons to control photographs, music, email, web, volume and VOIP.
The mouse is precise and smooth (much better than previous models). The 'back' and 'forward' buttons on top are a stroke of genius - very useful but small enough to stay out of the way when you don't need them. Scroll wheel is very good - goes side to side as well (not that I find that particular function terribly useful).
