Being a new driver the insurance was bound to be high priced, but I found that it wasn't that high considering I was a new driver and I was fully comp. I would recommend this car to any new driver as I learned in it and have had it from new. It is cheap enough to buy it from new. Also, it says in the description that the top speed is 96mph, I have reached 105mph in my car, obviously on an unmarked, private road. It costs around £25 on average to fill the tank and I can usualli get around 250 miles out of it before I have to refuel. A good little car, especailly for town driving. Not very good on the motorway but it does alright. The only drawback is the limited space. I can fit 5 people in the car with luggage so it is possible, but it isn't really comfy for the passengers. I usually say 4 people to be comfortable, especially on long journeys.
Advantages: CHEAP. Low Tax, Insurance and Fuel Consumption Disadvantages: Maybe too small?
...look at one in the Kia centre and bought one the same day! It is perfect for me because I am the only one driving it and do not often have to give anyone lifts. Everything about this car for me I rate excellent. The only disadvantage I can see for some people is the size. It is a small car (which is why I bought it) with limited boot space but when the rear seats are folded down you couldn't ask for more room! The LX model came with CD player, 4 ...

I would also have preferred a slightly larger petrol tank. The mileage that the brochure says you get isn't quite accurate. Also if you want a spare tyre you will have to pay extra as the Kia is provided with one of those 20 miler emergency tyres.

Advantages: Great little car; 5 doors; cheap to run &buy; does the job well!! Disadvantages: Small boot
I reluctantly had to buy a small second car four months ago (following a near miss on my scooter!) and decided to have a look at the KiaPicanto. And what a marvelous little car it is!
I bought my 54 reg vehicle for £4799; the car had only done 5000 miles and was basically as good as new. If you look around in the local papers in your area there should be plenty of second hand Picantos out there in as good condition.
The car has a 1.1L petrol engine and this performs very well. The car is mostly used for taking me to work and/or the kids to school. It can quite happily handle five bodies going up a very steep hill! Yes the boot space is a little on the small side, but this is a small car designed for small journeys. The five doors are a godsend when taking the kids on journeys - no climbing over the front seat through the front ...
