Advantages: Intersting courses and hole's. Good telescopic golf club peripheral. Disadvantages: Poor game! Lacking in detailed graphics, and fun! Does not pick up movement well!

But for a large portion of the game swinging the club is not a requirement! odd for a golfing game on the wii right?! The game is split into two parts: Arcade and Simulation. Both feature the same courses and holes. Offering the choice of full 18, front nine and back nine, but for some reason involve completely different control methods! simulation mode, where its up to you to find the right strength of movement, usually results in bogeys, and forfeits following too many attempts! In Arcade mode you only have one course available to play on until the other three courses are unlocked by finishing the course under par. This is like mission impossible as the simulation mode does not pick up movement well, and you're shots will frustratingly become miss-judged! But in Arcade mode, loading the swing and pressing the button is as close as this game gets to actually playing golf! I suppose the only thing this game has going for it is that the golf courses and holes feature quite interesting obstacles, and scenery. But the lack of control you have over the movement and hitting the ball will eventually distract you from this feature!
Although the scenery is quite colourful and makes the game it is still relatively graphically unimpressive. The ball, for example, often appears to be submerged in the ground, and there are times when the ball can pass through objects on the course! The soundtrack consists of around five tracks which loop and after a while can become annoyingly repetative! Crazy Mini Golf will introduce Popcorn Arcade’s ‘NuYu’ system. Similar to Nintendo’s Miis, the NuYu (new you) is an on-screen representation of the player. This can be saved to the Wii Remote and used in other Popcorn Arcade titles. It surprizingly offers a few extras over Miis, for example, a wider range of customisable clothing and hair styles, but the creation interface is rather simplistic in style but not as simple to get to grips with! But a further selling point to the game is the telescopic golf club peripheral. It’s fairly comfortable to grip, and is designed for both left and right handed players. But this featured is short-lived when you realise that the game itself doesn’t support a left handed option. So although the club is great for left handers, the game is infact a no-go!! Pointless!! My mate is left-handed and after buying this game for us both to play, you can imagine the dissapointment!
Overall this game is not one i can recommend, rather dissapointing and lacking in fun. A mere 3 out of 10 from me!!
