I have had this player for well over a year. Although it has been replaced (by an "Mpio FL100"), I can still remember what it was like to use. Here are the points:
- It is small and very compact - arguably THE smallest MP3 player
- It records voice through the in-built mic. Quality is good, but not good enough to record music satisfactorily, voice's are clear if spoken directly into the player, if you're trying to record a conversation over a metre away don't expect much to get picked up.
- The 64mb memory allows around 15-18 songs onto the player. Obviously not a lot, but songs can be changed in a few minutes by plugging in the cable supplied - not the easiest or quickest method of data transfer - but in 4 minutes I could change the songs around (including time choosing which songs to put on!). It also only plays MP3s, no other file format (although the manufacturers may have upgraded the firmware since I bought mine, probably more than likely).
- The buttons feel solid, if a little hard to press (they are small - but that should be expected with the size of the player) - not a major complaint by any means, I just tended to use my nails anyway. Button rarely have to be pressed, only to turn the player on/off (and that button is larger than the forward/back buttons) and to occassionaly change tracks if you get bored with one. Audio is fantastic.
- As for the user interface, it's well implemented and quick and easy to use. To play a song, you just have to hold down the 'play' button to turn it on and then press play again to play the selected song - helped by the clear lcd screen.
- The instructions came in some Asian language translated by a retarded translater, so the instructions weren't great, but it's so easy to use you don't really need it. The installation cd was easy to install on Win XP.
*After owning it for over 9 months, the lcd screen somehow cracked (it must have been a large force - it's a tough little machine) and the liquid crystals spread, meaning I couldn't see a thing on the display - not as bad as you may think, I could still turn it on, upload/download/play files and turn it off, it's just I couldn't see what was happening - so breaking the screen doesn't stop it - good eh?*
*After about a year the earphones seemed to only pick up the audio in one ear. This is due to the earphone socket not touching the earphone plug properly, and as the earphone socket is standard everywhere, kiiro cant be blamed for this - it is simply general wear. This was my cue for get a new one*
If the earphone socket hadn't worn down, I would probably still be using it today. Ok, it doesn't have the features of an iPod, but with its size, shockproof audio and price, it's more than a match. I love it.
Advantages: Tiny, very smart looking mp3 player. Disadvantages: This mp3 player hates mobile phones.
...of its rivals, and out of the problems listed the only serious 2 are the crashing and poor shielding from interference.
Kiiro no longer make this mp3 player, further information can be found from the current producers of the player, cmtech. The semi-english creative minds tech website is http://cmt21.co.kr/. ...

Manufacturer's product description
Not much bigger than an inline remote control, the CA64S is supplied with a neck strap, its digital jewelry. With a maximum of 4 hours voice recording the CA-64S will replace your memorandum book. The Repeat A-B function helps you to listen to a sentence or paragraph over and over, useful if you're using the CA-64S to learn a foreign language. With Windows 2000 the CA64S is recognized by the PC automatically, there is no additional software to install. Just Drag-and-Drop is enough. Use the CA-64S to store/carry/download data files such as MS Word documents, MS PowerPoint presentations, etc.
