I have never read a lee child book before and was recomended it by my brother. I found it in sussex stationers for only £2.99 which was a real bargain, so for all those long train journeys to work in the morning i wanted some thing to keep me occupied. I had just finished 4 other books and wanted to start on crime.
The first thing that grabbed my attention about this book is that it grabs your attention from the beggining.

It is about a man called 'jack reacher' who has been out of the army for 6months and decides to go traveling around the u.s. He comes accross this small town which his brother mentioned in a letter to him, about a famous singer who is buried there.

Jack got more then seeing a grave, he came very close to being in one himself. After being arrested for being mistaken for some one else, he tries to find out what was going on in this small town.

Two days later he finds out that there was a murder at the end of town, and to his surprise-it was his brother.

How did his brother get killed? who by? and what was he doing in this small town? Now jack has a task at hand.

He meets a beautiful police woman called rosco who they both get more then a bit passionate together, they join forces with finlay another cop and have to solve the mystery of the town.

With people being shot, the shops being paid off by the mayor and alot of dodgy smugglings, this book will not dissapoint the crime/thriller fans.

You will not be able to put this book down and when you do all you will think about all day is, 'what is jack going to do next?' Lee Child has a great style of writing and goes into great detail to keep the readers imagination encapsulated.

I recomend this book and cant wait to read the next 'Jack Reacher' episode.
