As well as buying them in boxes of five, which in Woollies cost me 95p you can buy them single for 20p each, that’s how come I can tell you about them as I bought one box for the child and a single one for me, for going.
Each little hippo contains approximately 116 calories so not as good ...

...always been a fan of Kinder chocolate. Usually Galaxy and Cadbury win but I like the fact that Kinder doesn't just do strictly chocolate and have some unusual parts of their selection. I like the Kinder Maxi, Bueno and surprise but lately I have been finding that I like the Happy Hippo.
I don't know why but at first when anyone used to offer me one of these Happy Hippo's I used to just not like the looks of it or want to try it. I think the fact ... ...packaging sticks to the usual Kinder colours of blue orange and white, they are distinct and always easy to recognise. The package is small and it is clear on one half so that you can see the hippo face. On the other half it says Happy Hippo in blue with a picture of a hazelnut beside it.
On the back of the packet in French and English are the ingredients. They only ever come in the 20.5g packet as they are a standard size.
So unleashing the hippo ...

...handed me a pack of Kinder Happy Hippos!
THE PACKAGING
Kinder Happy Hippos come in a rectangular box; the box is mainly white in colour with Happy Hippo written across the front in big blue letters. On the front of the box there is a cut out section so that you can see the hippos through it. Inside the box each hippo is individually wrapped in clear cellophane. Each box contains 5 Happy Hippos and costs 99p, you can buy these Happy Hippos individually ... ...you can really taste the Kinder quality. Now for the bad part, each hippo contains almost 120 calories, so you could eat almost a whole packet of sweets for the same amount of calories. On the up side there are not artificial colours or preservatives.
Happy Hippos do not have a smell until you bite into them, then you are enveloped in a sweet creamy and nutty smell that is very endearing and makes you want to eat the whole box, which I would not ...

Advantages: Yummy taste sensation Disadvantages: The yummy taste sensation is bad for your waistline!
...on the block in the Kinder range, it is the Happy Hippo. Now in the wild, the Hippo kills more humans than most other animals. Despite their cute and cuddly image they are actually quite dangerous. When you buy one of these new Hippos, you will discover that they to are dangerous – dangerous to your waistline!! These little Hippos are definitely Moorish!
So what are they?
They are a three – dimensional, hippo shaped biscuit, with a deliciously ... ...line with all of the Kinder Range is contains 20% milk. They do look very cute, the Hippo shape is very pronounced and their features do stand out very well. However despite this, you just
know you are going to eat them!
How do they taste?
The first bite was crunchy, followed by a soft, creamy texture. The predominant taste was a creamy hazelnut, followed by a strong sweet milky taste. The filling is made up of a mixture of hazelnut cream and ...

Advantages: Gorgeous chocolate! Disadvantages: Sugary and fattening, and want more than one
I saw Kinder 'Happy Hippos' advertised on the TV a long time before i ever considered buying them. Because of the influence from the advert, I assumed they for young children. Afterall, they are called 'Happy Hippos' You couldn't really get more childish. WHAT IS A HAPPY HIPPO?
Hazelnut-flavored cream-filled biscuit that has a shape like a hippopotamus. (although i don't think it really tastes much like hazelnut)
WHAT DOES IT CONTAIN?
sugar, vegetable ... ...I THINK
I loved Kinder surprise's when i was a young child, and I always think now, why don't they make some kinder chocolate that you can have just in a bar or something without the toy? They would make a lot more sales that way, because I know there's teenagers and adults that still love the taste of Kinder chocolate. However, The kinder maxi is what i was asking for, but it is still so small. I think they should make a regular sized bar. Anyway, ...

Advantages: fun, tasty snack Disadvantages: small, messy to eat, expensive
...You can’t say we haven’t all been there. You know what I’m talking about. There you are standing in a museum sharing essential knowledge with little brats when in walks a giant blue hippo offering everyone biscuits. All right so maybe we haven’t all been there unless of course you took some extremely dodgy drugs in the 70s. I was not born in the 70s so the advert for the KinderHappyHippo scared me and to be quite honest put me off despite the fact that I love other Kinder products.
However student life does funny things to you. For the first time in my life I actually get mail and some of this mail is food packages from an aunt that is under the illusion that I am not a short hop away from home but am in fact somewhere in deepest Borneo. Not that I have any complaints about this as the food she sends is mostly chocolate...

...this is another excellent product from kinder to go along with its other excellent quality products such as kinder bueno, kinder suprise and many other excellent products the kinderhippo costs around twenty pence because it is quite small event though it is a superb quality the hippo is shaped like a hippo it suits kids more than adults because of the theme of the snack it tastes brilliant because it is light and crispy it is filled with cream just like the kinder bueno the outer shell of the bar is covered in a textured edible decoration to make the snack look more appealing and authentic the snack is packaged in a clear wrapper so you can see the snack a disadvantage with this snack is that i find they are often broken when i go to bye them because of how delicate they are overall i would recomend this new kinder product to kids...
