Howard Shore (who of course had worked on King Kong director Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings series). The good news is that Howard still managed to write an honorable score; the bad news is that it's no more than honorable. For some, the biggest disappointment may be that Howard didn't find more inspiration in the film's 1930s setting. Once in a while he inserts a vaguely jazzy flourish (the brief clarinet passages in "Defeat Is Always Momentary" for instance) but the period detail is kept to a minimum. Having more may have helped give the score a shot of much-needed individuality. Action scenes, for instance, are set to the opulently orchestrated, frantic percussive rumble that is Hollywood short-hand for, well, action scenes. "Head Towards the Animals" and "Beauty Killed the Beast III" are just the most typical examples of that style: Howard gives these bravura numbers the requisite pounding intensity, but can we be blamed for feeling that we've heard them dozens of times before? Similarly, the composer sticks to the expected when he needs to get more contemplative, as on "A Fateful Meeting" (soothing strings, soothing clarinet) or "Beautiful" (flutes to suggest the exotic locale). In short, this album is everything you expect it to be. Which sometimes isn't quite enough. --Elisabeth Vincentelli
Advantages: Extra movie content, graphics, gameplay Disadvantages: Too easy/hard sometimes, short-ish, weapon conserving :(, no replayability

Graphics
Not the greatest game, graphically, but considering it is a "movie game" it has actually quite good graphics. The characters and creatures, especially the dinosaurs are modelled and animated well. Faces look somewhat sloppy but I can still tell the camera man looks ...

King Kong the Official Game of the Movie….. Phew said it without passing out, is based on, well you guessed it King Kong the Movie. It won't take you long to get through King Kong, but its sometimes thrilling, often tense, and always entertaining adventure and is well worth checking out.
Gameplay:
King Kong has a unique interface, there are no health bars, no writing what so ever. This helps the game to emerge the player into the experience and ... ...Graphics:
The graphics of King Kong on the 360 are very good looking with highly detailed textures however on the Xbox 360 version it does suffer from an overdose of darkness. The game has a limited number of colours, it is mostly gray or dark green, no bright colours are used apart from fire. The full power of the Xbox 360 (like most of the launch titles) has not been touched by this title, however if you compare the Xbox or PS2 version of the ...

King Kong Review ofKing Kong (Xbox 360)by

Advantages: Addictive, fun to do Disadvantages: Too easy, Not long enough
I played this game the first time I got my Xbox 360, and I thought the graphics etc were great. However, the game was really predictive (well I had watched the film first), and so it only took me about 2 days to complete. I am used to games as I play ps2, xbox.... but for me, this was rubbish for the price - £49.99!
As I say, the graphics were excellent and the sound was excellent. Just a tip - do not scratch the disc or leave it anywhere. I put ...
