From my previous experience with products aimed at sensitive skin, I withheld judgement on whether it would benefit me whatsoever.

For years I have been having trouble with shaving because I have sensitive skin, and would usually have a very uncomfortable face after shaving, which would continue for most of the day. I have tried a number of different shaving foams and gels, many designed with sensitive skin in mind, but none of which I had had any success with.

WHAT IS IT?
Alphagel is a shave gel intended to significantly reduce razor burn and skin irritation, while leaving the skin feeling super cool and refreshed. It is a low foam formula, which is supposed to be ideal for sensitive skin. With a unique “dual delivery system” it protects and lubricates the skin throughout the shave. It contains vitamin E, tea tree oil and aloe to nourish and care for the skin. It comes in a see-through plastic tube containing 175ml of the product.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
You are directed to wet your face with hot / warm water prior to shaving. You then squeeze a small amount of the gel onto your hand, and then massage it into your face. You then shave as normal, and then thoroughly rinse the gel from your face and neck.
HOW DOES IT PERFORM?
Well, before use, I was not expecting any miracles as I indicated earlier. On first inspection of the product it appears as a green gel with little white bubbles floating around in it (the dual delivery system I think). When put onto my hand it felt like some kind of slime not out of place in Ghostbusters. It smells strongly of mint which is a pleasant smell. As I applied it to my face I felt immediately a cooling sensation I hadn’t experienced before with any other product before. After applying, there was only a thin layer of slime all over my face, I felt may not be enough, but I thought I’d better follow instructions.
Shaving felt really smooth, and clean. I didn’t feel the usual scraping across my face, which was promising. The shave remained this way from start to finish, the razor just gliding over my face. As I rinsed the gel from my face the cooling sensation really kicked in. It was as if someone was pressing ice cubes against my face. It wasn’t an uncomfortable feeling, but at the same time felt slightly strange.
Following the shave my face felt great. There was almost none of the usual burning feeling, and after applying a little moisturiser to my face, there was no discomfort noticed. So this stuff actually works. I was very surprised and delighted. I could now shave in comfort!
I have got used to the gel now, and have continued using it for the last few months. It continues to work as well as it did on the first occasion.
I am trying to think of some disadvantages with the product. Maybe it takes a little longer to shave with all the additional rinsing required to get the gel off my face, but other than that I can’t think of anything wrong with it.
Anyone who has experienced problems with shaving due to sensitive skin should try the King Of Shaves Alphagel out. Even if you don’t have sensitive skin I would recommend trying the gel. It has transformed the shaving experience for me from daily pain, to a refreshing sensation. It has opened my eyes for sure. In the future I am not going to be as ignorant to new products as I may have been on this occasion.

Elvis, of course, is the king of rock ‘n’ roll. This, apparently, is the King of Shaves. Here is an opinion on King of Shaves shaving gel that may, or may not, contain a number of Elvis-related puns. A BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Ok, what we have here is King of Shaves K-Series Alphagel DDS Shaving Gel. This thing’s got more branding than it knows what to do with, but to put it succinctly, it’s a gel and you use it for ... ...the tube bares the logo King of Shaves (KoS) logo; the other half is transparent enabling you to see the pale blue gel within. It has a flip top lid so you can squeeze out the stuff and close it again in one easy and convenient motion. With its cool blue and white colourscheme, the package looks clean and hygienic as a bathroom product should. For me, the packaging scores over the conventional cylinder used by most gels and foams because it is smaller, ...

Now King of Shaves (what a terrible name for a company, only one step away from Toys’r’us (shudder)) have been making shaving products since 1993. The whole thing started from a bedroom with Will King, (hence the terrible company name) and his wife filling their first 10,000 bottles of oil by hand and convincing Harrods and Boots to take it. From that you can assume the oil is pretty classy stuff and has a price ... ...the magic that is the King of Shaves Alphagel DDS.

Advantages: little goes a long way Disadvantages: can clog pores and give you spots
the more you shave over spots the worse your face looks.
Although this gel was great at hydrating my skin and gave me an effortless shave it clogged my pores resulting in nasty spots !
I quickly had to find another gel. I chose 'King of ShavesAlphaGel Super Cooled Menthol'. First use of this gel was amazing. It left my skin incredibly smooth and clean and cleared up my spots within a week.
This is probably because it is rich in Tea tree oil which is a natural antibacterial agent. (the gel is also rich in other natural caring ingredients unlike Nivea and Gillette which felt very synthetic).
I was instantly converted and threw my Nivea Gel in the bin despite only using 1/4 of the can.
2 months later...
am still using King of Shavesgel.
I cannot stress enough how good King of Shaves Alpha gel is, and because it is a low ...
