There are only around 6 shops but they are all unique. "Mr Ben" is the only second hand retro shop in the city centre and it's helpful for those of us who like to find original 60's & 70's clothing at a quarter of the price - rather than pay for expensive replica's.

King's Court is a placed behind the Trongate and tends to be missed out by alot of the shopping public in Glasgow. The few who know it will probably be those who remember the old Victoria Shopping Arcade (now the new end of M&S). Kings Court is really aimed at the student end of the market although those who are young at heart should definately make a stop here. There are only around 6 shops but they are all unique. "Mr Ben" is the only second hand retro shop in the city centre and it's helpful for those of us who like to find original 60's & 70's clothing at a quarter of the price - rather than pay for expensive replica's. "Kozi" is a independent clothing outlet aimed at the student end of the market. The atmosphere is funky and bright with a good selection of different styles. Take a look at their winter hats and amazing selection of tops! This shop is also great price wise! The court also provides a store full of crystals and insense for those of you who require healing properties! You can also have a tarot card reading for those of you who dare!!! Beside this lies a mexican resturant for hungry shoppers but the menu can be pricey! So if you want reasonable nosh across the road lies "The 13th Note" in which you can have a seat and a cup of tea (or an alchoholic beverage). Plus points for Veggie's - all the food is meat free (sorry meat lover's everywhere!). They also provide vegan options which are in short supply in Glasgow. The atmosphere is relaxed and again has a slight student vibe about it - but hey it's food is good and it's fairly quiet - great after a day's shopping. Try the spicy chips - Mmmm!!! One last thing - this area is expanding all the time. Check out the surrounding area as you'll find various interesting shops in the vacinity. If any of you fancy having more than a full stomach this Christmas pop along to well known body piercing outlet "Nirvana". King's Court is one place that everyone should visit when they get fed up of the Christmas shopping nightmare on Argyle St. You'll also be able to find more interesting gifts than the ususal chocolates and socks!!!
Advantages: Good shops, clean accessable centre Disadvantages: Chavs!
Castle Court Is situated on Royal Avenue, just north of the main shopping streets of Belfast city centre. Buses and trains run to close to the centre, and there's a shuttle bus from the train station aprox every 15 minutes which has a stop outside the shopping centre. There is also a multi storey car park, singposted from the westlink and the city centre, although parking is £1.560 an hour. However, the ranps are cool to go up and down at speed, makes you really dizzy, but that's one of the main reasons I park there!
The centre is in a mainly glass, light open airy space, with many high street stores such as Debenhams, Boots and The Philip Green stores. It is mainly set on 2 levels, although some of the upstairs shops have a higher level. Above the main shopping centre in the Social Security Agency, although this isn't accessable ...
Advantages: Free parking, out of the city centre Disadvantages: Often crowded
next to the perfume area in Debenhams. I have also noticed that there are cash machines in the car parks next to the entrances to the centre although this is not the case at all entrances.
Shops
There are at least 100 shops in the White Rose centre and that includes all major high street stores (except M&S for some reason). There are many clothes shops including Dorothy Perkins, TopShop/TopMan, Burtons, Principles, Warehouse, Ciro Citterio and a substantially sized Debenhams that offers clothes, house ware, kids toys etc.
Other shops include gift shops such as Clintons, the Discovery Store, Peter Jones, H Samuel and the Perfume Shop.
The food court offers a range of foods from Burger king and Spud U Like to a nice cafe called Massarella's offering Italian style snacks and breads. Some of the shops such as BHS also have their own ...
Advantages: Convenient, good selection of shops Disadvantages: Can end up spending too much and too long in here!
name some more popular shops are Miss Selfridge, New Look, Gap, Baby Gap, Claires Accessories, Lifestyle Sports, Boots, La Senza, Clintons, Car Phone Warehouse, Argos, Bargain Books, Laura Ashley, Quicksilver - the list of shops really is exhaustive. When feeling tired from investigating all the many shops, you can recharge the batteries with some food/and or drink. There is a juice bar on the ground floor, and a coffee shop on the first floor. The main food court is also located on the first floor. Here you can find Subway, KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut and Spud you like outlets and ample seating available to rest your weary legs, although as expected it does get very busy around the lunch ...
