King's Court is a placed behind the Trongate and tends to be missed out by alot of the shopping public in Glasgow. The few who know it will probably be those who remember the old Victoria Shopping Arcade (now the new end of M&S). Kings Court is really aimed at the student end of the market although those who are young at heart should definately make a stop here. There are only around 6 shops but they are all unique. "Mr Ben" is the only second hand retro shop in the city centre and it's helpful for those of us who like to find original 60's & 70's clothing at a quarter of the price - rather than pay for expensive replica's. "Kozi" is a independent clothing outlet aimed at the student end of the market. The atmosphere is funky and bright with a good selection of different styles. Take a look at their winter hats and amazing selection of tops! This shop is also great price wise! The court also provides a store full of crystals and insense for those of you who require healing properties! You can also have a tarot card reading for those of you who dare!!! Beside this lies a mexican resturant for hungry shoppers but the menu can be pricey! So if you want reasonable nosh across the road lies "The 13th Note" in which you can have a seat and a cup of tea (or an alchoholic beverage). Plus points for Veggie's - all the food is meat free (sorry meat lover's everywhere!). They also provide vegan options which are in short supply in Glasgow. The atmosphere is relaxed and again has a slight student vibe about it - but hey it's food is good and it's fairly quiet - great after a day's shopping. Try the spicy chips - Mmmm!!! One last thing - this area is expanding all the time. Check out the surrounding area as you'll find various interesting shops in the vacinity. If any of you fancy having more than a full stomach this Christmas pop along to well known body piercing outlet "Nirvana". King's Court is one place that everyone should visit when they get fed up of the Christmas shopping nightmare on Argyle St. You'll also be able to find more interesting gifts than the ususal chocolates and socks!!!

Welcome to Ciao and sorry to have given you a low rating on your first op! It would be a good idea to include what shops are there, whether there are things like creche facilities, what parking is like and what public transport routes can take you the shopping centre. If you rewrite this op, leave a message in my guestbook and I will happily re-read and re-rate your op. Mike
