There is something just so quintessentially British about a good crumpet. I dont know whether its just our love of bread products or the word itself crumpet just sounds so English doesnt it!
One bite of these crumpets smothered in butter and i was transported back to sunday afternoons as a child sat in front of the fire watching The Antiques Roadshow! And no i didnt live in an Enid Blyton story that really was what my childhood was like we actually did toast crumpets on an open fire!Kingsmill love to toast crumpets do what a really good food should do they transport the tastebuds on an adventure be it back in time to a winter evening or accross the world to an imagined place. A really excellent product they are light and fluffy and soak up the butter beautifully. The are also dangerously moreish and as i type i am currently toasting myself another one!
Easy to recommend and i hope you enjoy them as much as i do!
