If you have a different operating system to Microsoft or Apple, then there is no need to worry as it will function on virtually all OS (Operating systems) released shortly before and after the release of CompactFlash Cards.
The X-speed on this Compactflash card as well as on all Kingstonflash cards determines the writing speed of the card. The writing speed is simply the time taken for a file or files to be copied onto the memory card. The write speed determines the overall performance of the compactflash card. Advantages: Fast, big on storage Disadvantages: Price but shop around

I tried inserting it a couple of times with no luck. I put my old CF card back in which worked fine so I knew the camera was ok. I then tried this card one last time and it worked. It's been fine ever since but it did shake my confidence in it a little.
It does write very fast with no delays worth mentioning.

However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things nowadays that we don't really need.

Having bought this card to be used in Canon EOS 20D & 40D digital cameras they are extremely rapid and much better than the lower speed Sandisk Compact Flashes or other makes. The cameras have not as yet had to stop shooting to allow the card to catch up more
I have an Archos AV420, and I needed some extra memory. It has an external Compact Flash (CF) slot, so I bought a 1GB CF card for £14.99 from a website that I found on google.
This may be cheap, but I would not have bought this format if I could have more
I bought this card along with my Olympus e-500 camera as it was recommended by the seller from whom I bought it. The recommendation was quite good as the card was relatively inexpensive and is very quick writing to the card, there is little if any... more
