Review summary
Versatile micro SD card for phones or Sat Navs that can be used as an SD card (with the adpator) for game consoles, cameras, camcorders etc. The authenticity of this product can be verified online - http://legacy.kingston.com/asia/verify.
Introduction:

Recently I have bought a Nintendo 3DS and a Garmin Nuvi 1300 Sat Nav. Both of them has external memory slots for extra storage of data. For the 3DS, there is an SD/SDHC card slot. For the Garmin Sat Nav, there is a micro SD card slot. So I have browsed through the internet for some Micro SD cards that also come with a free SD adaptor i.e. you can use it as a micro SD card or an 'SD card' using the adaptor for various devices. I have bought two Kingston 8GB class 4 micro SD cards from Amazon Market Place for £3.80 each (£7.60 in total) including delivery.

Set up and usage:

The beauty of using these cards is that there is no need to format them for digital gadgets such as phones, Sat Nav or game console and even the Apple devices can read them straight away. They are quite sturdy as micro SD cards and even stronger when they are in the SD card adaptor. It is basically insert and use. Kingston is a well established brand and therefore their products are usually reliable and of competitive prices. I have tried to copy approximately 8GB of data files to and from these two cards to make sure that they have the 8GB capacity. No problem appears whatsoever.

Good and Good:

This Kingston card is versatile i.e. as micro SD card for phones or Sat Navs; as SD card (using the adpator) for game consoles, cameras, camcorders etc. Also, you can verify that the card is genuine by entering its identification code/serial number on http://legacy.kingston.com/asia/verify. With a price tag of £3.80 each i.e. 47.5p per GB, I am happy. However if you want to use it with digital cameras/camcorders, you may want to upgrade it from class 4 to class 10 for faster read/write speeds. Overall, it is a good product.
