That said I have been a customer of KC for about 10 years now and have not had a problem with them, anytime the eqipment has gone wrong they have come out within a day or so and replaced it, and on those odd occasions when a phone bill has been a little large they have allowed me to spread the cost across a few weeks.
The company has all the same services of the main phone companies such as call waiting, 1571, and even has an automated answering service.
My bills average about £60 so that is not real expensive for me. Add to that my internet connection and that still works out cheaper than when I was using free serve.
KC should become more well known in the future as the new football stadium is named after the company.

Kingston Communications is a Hull based telecoms company operating within the Hull area but looking to expand. At the moment it is expanding slowly into East Yorkshire but could be nationwide soon. The most predominent feature Kingston communications was its white telephone boxes whilst the rest of the Uk had BT's red boxes.

Kingston Communication's telephone service is excellent and I cannot fault it. Unfortunatly, the same cannot be said of their interactive television service.I waited three months to have it installed, and was promised, in writing, three free months "as a gesture of goodwill to compensate you for your patience". I was then billed full price for each of the subsequent three months. I dont think the customer care staff know what they are doing!Also, ... ...as the browsser they provide is incapable, as well as being short on memory. The server goes down approximatly three times a week, which disrupts television viewing as well as internet usage. The low price is attractive, certainly, but if you are a Hull webaholic, I would advise you to look elsewhere. ...

So - we are moving offices, long story, but we are moving down the the ground floor after being on the third. This of course is expensive, after all an ISDN to have fitted was costly, now when I want it moving its, well, just as expensive. Same price in fact according to those nice people at KC.
info snippit..KC for those of you who live outside the backwater that is Hull - is KingstonCommunications, our very own equivelent to BT who move about as fast as Jack Custeau on the seabed and are twice as costly! But that my freinds is another op!
So, in the interests of chep, cheerful and time, I start looking for an ISDN extension lead (25m)
After phoning just about every computer dealer in the western world and Staples, and being met with a montage of dunnos, what?, no dont think theere is such a thing etc, I bit the bullet ...

. The customer service lady misheard my expiry date and said that my card was not valid. I was going to say that I would not be stupid enough to use an old card to top up my account.
I felt cheesed off with Vodafone and did not buy any telecom shares. A few family friends invested in KingstonCommunications, which hit £17 before diving to £1 at present.
But the telecom sector is the second largest sector and worth investing in. I think the best way to go forward is via a telecom tracker fund.
E-MAIL
I have found that e-mail is the best way of communicating with anyone. I say everything I have to without stammering and the cost is cheap.
I was pleased when some of my cousins in India had acquired e-mail addresses last year. But we only corresponded for 4 months.
There are great differences between my western and my cousins' eastern ...
