KC as the company is known locally, has just about a monopoly on the phone service in Hull and the surrounding area.

The good things about this is that they have a low rate for local calls at just 5.5p for a unlimited call. This is very handy if your family and friends are local but out of town calls still have to go though BT or other service providers.

They also provide a ISP that I used that is quite reliable and at £25.99 per month for anytime connection could be consider a bit expensive but because of the monopoly on the phone lines in this area using another service providers such as AOL. can be very expensive as you have to connect to a hull number first and then to the BT number.

That said I have been a customer of KC for about 10 years now and have not had a problem with them, anytime the eqipment has gone wrong they have come out within a day or so and replaced it, and on those odd occasions when a phone bill has been a little large they have allowed me to spread the cost across a few weeks.

The company has all the same services of the main phone companies such as call waiting, 1571, and even has an automated answering service.

My bills average about £60 so that is not real expensive for me. Add to that my internet connection and that still works out cheaper than when I was using free serve.

KC should become more well known in the future as the new football stadium is named after the company.
