Super cheap high memory flash memory stick

Also, a big advantage is that it does not need and drivers tobe pre installed before using the memory stick on your computer, although i believe they are all like this.

As with many people out there, the USB flash drive device is a very important part of my life. Any documents that i produce on the PC are always backed up on the memory stick just in case the PC crashes and everything is lost. Not only would this take a lot of time to sort out, but for many peopleit would also cost them money.
Before going out and buying this, I had one of the small sony flash drives, that i have already given a review of. When i unfortunately lost that one i had to go and buy another, i needed one that had a large memory capacity, and one that wasnt going to cost me and arm and a leg.

It is small enought to easily carry around in your pocket, and is also very light (12g). Below are the dimensions for the Kingston Data Traveler 100: 2.35" x 0.88" x 0.37" (59.7mm x 22.3mm x 9.5mm)

The device is compatible with most modern systems, their web site states that this will work with anything newer than Windows 2000,and will also work with a mac. The transfer rate for this is 3.8 seconds per megabtye. the equates to 1.1GB trasferring in a time of 4 minutes and 50 seconds. This is where the price makes the difference, i have done some research for you, and found a device that wil transfer 1.1GB of date in a rapid 1 minute and 30 seconds. however this is more than three times more expensive, and anyway, how often does Mr or Mrs average have files of that size on their memory stick? Normal microsoft word documents are usually less the 1MB in size. Since owning this device i have not had any problems with it at all. However, i dont know anyone who has had any problems with USB flash drives unless they have been careless with them, and destroyed them, or put them through the washing machine - not advisable really. Whats more, i have now looked at the website of this manufacturer, and have found that even if something does go wrong with it, they are all covered by a 5 year manufacturers warranty. This tells me how sure they are that they are giving you a top quality product.
I have decided if i ever have to buy another one of these devices then i will certainly just go for the cheapest one available on the market. I simply refuse to pay more than i have to for something that will do the same job, just as well as a cheaper option.
I can recommend this product to a potential buyer as i ahve had no porblems with it. However, i would suggest that if you do find something even cheaper still, then go for that instead!

I bought this pen drive in July 2007 having 4 GB of storage capacity and 5 years of warranty. After using 6 month the case became loose and the USB case started producing sound but still it was working. After next 15 days the USB was not detected by my computer. When I went to the Kingston ... ...because the case was loose and they told me that it is physical damage. My friend has also bought same pen drive and his usb case also becoming loose day by day. I must say that the case is very weak. Since the model is designed on a sliding plate which came out with USB knob and again goes in on pushing, so it's very natural that after using 50-100 times the case becomes loose. Advantages: Cheap flash drive. Disadvantages: Hot temperature.
This is a cheap USB flash drive. Yeah.. you can lose a cap because just use slide the usb connector. I try plug in this flash drive to computer more than 10 hours, and the flash drive has quickly gain a hot temperature. While you copying, accessing data or just plug in the flash drive. I use it everyday and not less then 2 months, the flash drive was broken or crash. It can't detected by PC, sometimes it say need to be formated. And I lose all my ...
