Hi today I will be reviewing a KingstonDataTravler 2GBUSBFlashDrive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flashdrive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places.
Speed
For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flashdrives I have used in the past.
Problems
So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flashdrive I had a while ago could.
Size
The overall size of the flashdrive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch.
Feel
The Kingston feels rather cheap and plastic considering the price I paid for it anyway.
Over all this is not a bad ...
I gave my 2GBKingstonflashdrive a few months ago and I think it's really great. I can use it for Microsoft Windows Vista ReadyBoost to speed up my PC. It's not too expensive and it has got a life-time warranty. It's really fast and every operating system contents a driver to use it. If you want to buy a somewhat cheap flashdrive, and need a good quality buy that. Most of new PCs can boot from USB nowadays. Thanks to the USB 2.0 technology I can boot up my favourite live Linux distribution from it and I can save it back when I finished the work. You can use it for system rescue too but if you don't need these special "features" just use it to store and move data. :) ...

I remember when USBflashdrives hit the market a few years back when you could fit a staggering 16Mb worth of data on a device the size of your middle finger. Since then capacity has increased and prices have decreased at an alarming rate. For example you can now get 4Gbflashdrives for cheaper than the original 16Mb drives which represents great value for money.
--Whats in the box --
Contents of the box are minimalistic to say the least, there is the drive itself and a little strap which you can then use to attach the drive to your belt/keyring, etc. This device really is plug and play in its simplest form, there arent even any instructions supplied with it, mainly because none are required.

The MigoSync software lets you synchronize your files, email and Internet browser settings on your DT400. When you return to your main PC MigoSync synchronizes your files from your drive to your PC to keep you current. For added flexibility, Universal Mail Format lets you access your email on applications other than the ones you use at home or at the office. If a guest PC doesn't support your main email application, MigoSync will let you access your email using other applications like Windows Mail, Outlook, Outlook Express or Lotus Notes. DT 400 is a great tool for today's road warriors - use it at your field office, home office, or client's computer - anywhere you have access to a PC with the applications you use. Create and maintain different workspace profiles, such as home, work, notebook, client, project, and then password protect them with SecureTraveler software. SecureTraveler allows you to create and access a password protected secure area, called a "Privacy Zone" on your DT400.
