Kingston USB 2GB Flash Drive

Advantages: Speed of small transfers
Disadvantages: No ReadyBoost, feels cheap

Hi today I will be reviewing a Kingston DataTravler 2GB USB Flash Drive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flash drive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places. Speed For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flash drives I have used in the past. Problems So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flash drive I had a while ago could. Size The overall size of the flash drive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch. Feel The Kingston feels rather cheap and plastic considering the price I paid for it anyway. Over all this is not a bad ...

Review of Kingston DataTraveler 100 - USB flash drive - 2 GB

Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive - 2 GB

Advantages: fast, lifetime-warranty
Disadvantages: nothing

I gave my 2GB Kingston flash drive a few months ago and I think it's really great. I can use it for Microsoft Windows Vista ReadyBoost to speed up my PC. It's not too expensive and it has got a life-time warranty. It's really fast and every operating system contents a driver to use it. If you want to buy a somewhat cheap flash drive, and need a good quality buy that. Most of new PCs can boot from USB nowadays. Thanks to the USB 2.0 technology I can boot up my favourite live Linux distribution from it and I can save it back when I finished the work. You can use it for system rescue too but if you don't need these special "features" just use it to store and move data. :) ...

Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 2 GB

Kingston 1Gb Flash Drive

Advantages: Compact, fast, reliable
Disadvantages: Lack of transportation strap

I remember when USB flash drives hit the market a few years back when you could fit a staggering 16Mb worth of data on a device the size of your middle finger. Since then capacity has increased and prices have decreased at an alarming rate. For example you can now get 4Gb flash drives for cheaper than the original 16Mb drives which represents great value for money. --Whats in the box -- Contents of the box are minimalistic to say the least, there is the drive itself and a little strap which you can then use to attach the drive to your belt/keyring, etc. This device really is plug and play in its simplest form, there arent even any instructions supplied with it, mainly because none are required. -- Useage -- Plugging the drive into a spare USB slot will give you an extra drive in Windows Explorer (My Computer) typically F ...
