I chose Kingston because it has a good reputation but as I previously brushed upon most of these cards are made by the same company somewhere in deepest Taiwan no doubt. So I do not believe anymore that there is a significant difference in quality between brands.

I am strange as I decided to measure the data transfer rate, not something a normal person would do, and it is approximately 100 kb/s. ...to be solidly built and Kingston as a rule are very reliable having built up an excellent reputaion in memory related products. Always my first choice of brand.
The card has also been used with a card reader to store pc files in a similar manner to the way you would use a floppy disk, only 512mb instead of 1.44mb. Just mentioning this so that it doesnt just sit in your camera when you don't need the camera. Get yourself a card reader for your PC ...
