...The Toshiba D-VR15 is a high quality easy to use VCR/DVD recorder with the looks to match and does not look like a metal box as other's do. It records DVD-R and DVD-RW and Video cassettes with high quality video playback and superior quality sound. Its easy to program the recorder with the on screen menu which is a breeze to use and intuitive to navigate and select the required options . The down side to this recorder is that it is tempremental when recording to DVD-R disks and occasionally fails to record if the disk has not been formatted correctly. The other down side is that when switched on and running the rear fan can be heard running in the background In all its a good quality recorder and very good value at the price. ...The Orion 14VR televideo is a neat and compact combined 14" TV and long play video recorder, slightly taller than a standard portable television. It has a 28-day/8-event timer, one touch record, ditigal auto-tracking, on screen menues, auto repeat (though I've never found a need to try it out), and fully functioned remote control. Available in black and silver, I believe. The sound quality is very good, although it does lack tone (bass/treble) controls. The only downside is, although it has a SLEEP facility, the unit does not switch off automatically if you fall asleep watching a video and the tape comes to the end.... Read review

...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. I would recommend it. It's a great little device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things nowadays that we don't really need.
