I grow my own herbs in pots outside the back door underneath the kitchen window. The best growing plant I have is my mint but I manage to grow others quite well, depending on how much I have been tending to them.
I use mint on a lot of things and I make my own mint jelly. I was using a curved blade chopper and had been using this chopper for many years. It became very blunt. My daughter got me a Kitchen Craft Herb Roll cutter. She uses the same thing herself and she told me how much quicker and easier it is to cut the herbs by just rolling them with the blades rather than having to stand and chop them up.The roller blade cutter cost £5.99 and it is bigger than it looks int he photograph. It is made from a strong plastic and it can be washed in the dishwasher but I don't own one and I just rinse my roller underneath a hot tap. The blades are very strong and sharp but because I am rolling it along the plant and not chopping it up with a knife, then I am less likely to hurt myself, so it is much safer aswell as quicker. It chops very well and all the pieces are an even size and there are no bits bigger than others like when I use a knife.
I am very pleased with my roller and I recommend it to you.
