I am very pleased with the performance of the FM4803- it is blazing fast- boils water approx 12 times faster then a gas hob. Control is somewhat tricky to operate since you cant really use only the point of your fingers- you need to place your whole finger onto the control to make it work.
pros: VERY fast and powerfull, can boil fry anything in no time
ultra precision power adjustment allows for precise direct cooking of sauces- even Hollander ... ...automaticaly
can be noisy if using the powerboost function (fan too loud)
and the worst experience so far- the unit got falutly after 5 months of usage- now we are waiting for the technician to replace the unit...
I recommend this thing since it made my life a lot easier in the kitchen- but its not flawless. 8.5/10 for me. We got both gas and this induction unit and we are using the induction unit 95%.

This hob looks very stylish and trendy and expensive... its gorgeous! Wasn't too expensive either. It Ignites well and has lovely easy to use knobs. It almost looks like an induction plate, shiny black glass. Unfortunately the downsides are too important to ignore! We have found it hateful to keep clean, we have had to use hot soapy water immediately after use and then a soft cloth & glass cleaner otherwise it looks terrible! We cannot believe it ...

This is a good solid easy-to-use hob. After nine months of use we haven't had any problems with its operation or use. It has a good selection of burners, including a "double-ring" wok burner. The control knobs are well placed and clearly marked.

When it comes to cooking I am usually a fan of gas hobs. I like to move pans around a lot when cooking to make sure that food doe not stick. With gas hobs there are nice strong metal supports for the pans to rest on and you can be quite violent with no risk of damaging the hob.
I have always found electric hobs (particularly the ceramic variety) seam a bit fragile and I’m always reluctant to slide pans around on them incase they scratch, or to put ... ...am reviewing has been put in my parents kitchen, so although I do not own it, I have used it frequently since it was installed a few weeks ago.
The hob itself was bought as an ex-display model for £360, this was a good saving on the normal price of between £400 and £500, however it still makes it quite pricy.

We bought our Stoves Touch Control Frameless ceramic hob 3 years ago and the PCB has gone. Stoves said it would cost either £250 to fix or we could take an insurance policy that was £100 cheaper and it would cover the cost of the part being fixed and we'd also have a warranty for a year.
