The Neff T2346 is a lovely hob and looks great in our new kitchen.
I paid £180 for it Oct 2006 but I have seen it for as much as £270 in the same month. If you think £180 is over your budget then you might want to think about paying that bit extra to get a real quality item.
The cast iron pan supports are very solid, they wont rock when pots and pans are placed on them. Which in my view makes it a safer hob than those with supports that bang around ... ...in.
I bought the Neff B1442 electric single oven to go with the hob and they look great together as the knobs match! We looked at a number of hobs but this one stood out due to the excellent build quality, funky design and value for money.
All in all we havent had any problems and look forward to many years of cookin on it! ...

I bought this hob in February 2007 and my kitchen fitter fitted it with no problems except he said the electric cable (for the electronic ignition) wasn't very long.
It is very easy to use with the ignition being automatic when you turn the knobs. The gas flame is very controllable, from a minium size flame to, what seems, a very powerful flame. There are two medium size gas burners, a small one, a large one and a wok burner. I tend to use the small ... ...frying pan the medium burner is fine. The wok burner is excellent. The cast iron pan stands are very solid and hard wearing gives the hob an impressive look.
All parts come off quickly and it is very easy to keep clean. The only slight critisim is, if you look closely at the hob, the metal does look slightly tinny and it would scratch if you rubbed hard with a scourer - not that you need to as everything just wipes off. ...

This hob looks very stylish and trendy and expensive... its gorgeous! Wasn't too expensive either. It Ignites well and has lovely easy to use knobs. It almost looks like an induction plate, shiny black glass. Unfortunately the downsides are too important to ignore! We have found it hateful to keep clean, we have had to use hot soapy water immediately after use and then a soft cloth & glass cleaner otherwise it looks terrible! We cannot believe it ...

This is a good solid easy-to-use hob. After nine months of use we haven't had any problems with its operation or use. It has a good selection of burners, including a "double-ring" wok burner. The control knobs are well placed and clearly marked.
However, we went for the stainless steel version. To keep it looking good you have to clean and dry it after every cooking session. It shows every little scratch, and I just can't work out how to keep the ...

When it comes to cooking I am usually a fan of gas hobs. I like to move pans around a lot when cooking to make sure that food doe not stick. With gas hobs there are nice strong metal supports for the pans to rest on and you can be quite violent with no risk of damaging the hob.
I have always found electric hobs (particularly the ceramic variety) seam a bit fragile and I’m always reluctant to slide pans around on them incase they scratch, or to put ... ...am reviewing has been put in my parents kitchen, so although I do not own it, I have used it frequently since it was installed a few weeks ago.
The hob itself was bought as an ex-display model for £360, this was a good saving on the normal price of between £400 and £500, however it still makes it quite pricy.
