Arguably the biggest name in small kitchen appliances, this mixer represents far better VFM than the Kenwood equivalent. I paid £150 from Amazon when on offer as not only has it a huge reputation as a solidly built, reliable and versatile kitchen machine but when it's going to be stood on your work surface everyday (indeed, it is too heavy to be pulling in and out of cupboards anyway) it needs to be aesthetically pleasing too. This was a present to myself at xmas and WOW its far better than I ever imagined! Its so powerful yet can be turned to the minimum setting and its gentle as your own finger tips - I have made everything from shortcrust pasty ( amazing!) to heavy duty bread dough - the folding hook ROCKS. The first thing I made was a banana & walnut loaf - the mix was perfect in just seconds with this machine where I used to take ages mixing everything by hand.
