As a student i was looking for a way to make a bit of extra money. I entered my details on a website with an advertisement " earn 50-500 a week" A few days later i got a call from a man offering to come and talk to me. He came and explained it was kleeneze and spent the next 20mins talking about the business and how to make money in it.

Right there are 2 ways to make money with kleeneze. Retailing Sponsoring
Retailing is when you place the catalogues through peoples doors, collecting the orders and delivering the products to the customers.
For this you earn 21% commision on your retail sales. On top of this you can earn what is called "volume profit" There are different levels to this. £764 = 6% bonus £1530 = 8% bonus £2650 = 10% bonus £4000 = 12% bonus £6000 = 14% bonus £8800 = 16% bonus
You might look at this like i did and think i could never sell nearly £9000 of product in 4 weeks. Well this is where the second way to make money comes in. Sponsoring.
So what is sponsoring? Every person that comes into Kleeneze is sponsored by someone already in the company. This is also known as "team building" Basically this means that if you sell say £500 and your team member sells £400 then this takes your team sales to over the 6% threshold and you will be paid a 6% bonus on the group sales.
So the more people you get into your team the more. bonuses you can get. One example would be if you had 10 people in your team selling £800 of product and you yourself sold £800. This would put your team into the 16% bonus bracket (group sales £8800) but also 10 of your team members would personally qualify for the 6% bonus
You would be paid 16% of the sales - 6% of each team members sales. You would earn 21% of your own sales = £168 +16% of 8800 = 1408 - 10 team members 6% bonus each (6% of 800) =10 x 48 = 480
So you profit for the 4 weeks would be 168 + 1408 - 480 = £1096
This works out at around £275 a week. Kleeneze uses 4 week periods instead of months so you get 13 periods instead of 12months.
Orders. With kleeneze its generally accepted that you get £1 of orders for every catalogue places. So 200 catalogues a week should get you £200 of orders and £800 in a 4 week period.
From my own personal experience i have found that a lot of people dont order but the orders i do get are generally very good. One night i placed about 30 catalogues out one night. I only got one order from all of them but it was a £30 order so it averaged about £1 a catalogue. This was "cold calling" ie dropping catalogues into houses you have never been to. As you build a customer base and only deliver catalogues to previuos customers this will increase
Of course none of this is guaranteed.
So how do you place your orders. You can fax orders but i chose to do it online. This costs £10 a period or £7.50 if you provide them with a valid email adress. If anyone is just started i would highly recommend this. It really couldny be easier. You log into the website, click on new order and then all you do is type the code into a box and type how many you want into a 2nd box then click add to order. You can also pay for the order online as well in a secure area.
Ok so all this seems pretty easy money right? So whats the catch. Well i will discuss my own personal problems with the company.
My main problem with kleeneze is people not putting the catalogues out. I did start in the summer so a lot of people were on holiday and i lost a lot of catalogues. Most people dont realise that they cost distributors money. Another problem was people not closing the bags properly in the tain and the catalogues being ruined by water.
The problem i had which really got me annoyed was another distributor taking my catalogues. In kleeneze there are no areas and people place their catalogues where they want. About 2 weeks into my business i was doing a street in my estate and picked a catalogue up on a doorstep i noticed another distributors catalogue. Being honest i left it there and walked on. In that street i had to knock several doors as catalogues werent placed out. 4 people told me they gave them to "the other guy" and one person told me he had put them both out on the doorstep. This is not allowed by kleeneze but it certainly knocked the wind out of me as i was only starting i didnt have a lot of catalogues and could afford to lose them.
Within 2 weeks of kleeneze i had lost 80% of my catalogues to theft rain damage and people not being in. Not wanting to quit without making some money i ordered some more £27.50 for 50. I dont know why they charge so much, surely the more catalogues people have the more they make for kleeneze?
Other problems include people not being in when you deliver. I began to wonder was it worth it in petrol costs. If you have to go to a house to put the catalogue in, back to pick it up,possibly back again if they arent in, then back to deliver the order and possibly back to deliver the order. If it isnt a big order its really not worth it because any profit you make is paid out in petrol.
Delivery is free but smaller orders are subject to handling charges, orders under £100 are charged £100 £100-£250 are charged £5 and orders over £250 are sent free. This does seem like a waste of money if you dont have a lot of sales
Walking round in the rain collecting catalogues is very disheartening if you dont get orders.
I have had problems with my sponsor who obviuosly wont want me to leave as i am making money for him. He has achieved the opposite of what he wanted becase hes annoyed me so much. I have told him 4 times i am stopping and each time he has started trying to convince me directly or indirectly to keep on doing it. It is meant to be "my business" so its my own decision. Just think about that before you start as it may not be as easy to get out of it as you would think
I think kleeneze is certainly a business with the potential to make money. However it is something you have to work hard as. As a student in another country from home i am having to give it up as i just dont have the time or access to a car at university and also have no desire to walk round placing catalogues. But if you have the time and a bit of money to invest then its certainly a good idea. I would however recommend starting with at least 100 catalogues to make more money quicker.

Kleeneze is a catalogue, which gets delivered through your door, free of charge for several days by a Kleeneze distributor.
INTRODUCTION
The Kleeneze Opportunity is a work from home based business, which you can operate any where working full/part time hours to suit. You can typically expect to earn between £200 - £2,000 per month (to start), however you define your own success.

It was originally called the Kleen-E-ze Brush Company and it was not until 1937 that diversification was introduced in the way of the complimentary wax polishes.
Since its humble beginnings in 1923, Kleeneze has enjoyed a profit during every single year of trading.

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Not worth all the time and money invested.
My husband and I joined Kleeneze to earn a little extra money in the short term. We were a little suspicious of the promotional info, but it sounded innocent enough, and our sponsors seemed to be genuinely honest with us, and friendly, as well as very excited about their own success with the company. We thought we would give it a go, and if this trial period as catalogue distributors proved successful, then we would consider moving into the recruitment ... ...that did not have a Kleeneze representative, and so we had a good average of orders coming in. So what went wrong?
According to these statistics, we should have had a great return on our initial investment right away. After all, we met the 10% level in our first month and then 13% only a couple of months after this (during the pre-Christmas season). We were told that we were doing great by our sponsors and upline. But there was one big problem. ...

I started Kleeneze a couple of weeks ago and I have found it is a brilliant way of earning money.

Kleeneze are technically a Home Shopping Network for people who can’t get out to the local high street shops to purchase their household items. They pop the catalogue through the door and go and collect it a couple of days later.

Advantages: Work your own hours, no targets, meet new people, help others to succeed, many more ... Disadvantages: lazy people, those who expect money to roll in without effort - don't apply
...who write bad reports on Kleeneze all have 1 thing in common - they simply look to what they are making over their first 2 weeks and don't see it as a long term business. Big mistake! When I started out a few years ago retailing, I didn't look to think "How much did I earn that hour?" or "How much did I make today". I did 1 thing that 90% of people don't do - I thought to myself "How many customers do I now have?" Think about it. The idea is to build ... ...why do people 'fail' in Kleeneze and subsequently write bad reports? Frustration - it just didn't happen quick enough for them? Maybe they were disorganised? Treated their customers at a low standard so they didn't order again? Lost their motivation? Just damn right lazy and couldn't be bothered to go out and pick their catalogues up? There's many reasons which all boils down to the person - not the company. Remember, the products move! Anybody who ...

Advantages: Flexible, unlimited earnings, cost free Disadvantages: Commission only, out in the cold
To be a Betterware Distributor you need to be keen and able to walk, that's basically all the skills required. You also have to be out in all weathers and able to take frequent knockbacks. Mostly what is involved is posting and collecting books. In around 1 in 12 books collected you'll find an order. Put all your orders together and you get 20% of the value in commission, after you've delivered the goods. Your territory is exclusive but you will get competion from other catalogues, like Kleeneze. It can be a good earner but you HAVE to put the effort in. It's completely free too, so no risk involved. You just need a few spare hours. My advice - try it for yourself. It could be for you! ...

What is Betterware?
-------------------
Betterware is a home shopping company (sorry to make comparisons) very similar to the lines of companies like Kleeneze and Avon. Once every couple of weeks your local agent drops off a catalogue, leaves it with you for a few days and then comes back to collect it. Very simple. The company has been around since 1928 and their main distribution centre and offices are based in Birmingham.
What?s the difference between Betterware and some other companies?
------------------------------------------------
The easiest way to explain this is to tell you what they sell.

and lasted.
WHEN I MOVED, IT WAS A DIFFERENT STORY
I moved to the Midlands in 1980. Here I re-met Betterware and her "cousin" Kleeneze. They now sell housewares and gadgets which have potential for saving effort all over the house. They also offered the range of brushes and cleaning equipment (although you need to buy the broom handle separately now), and various items like plastic containers and other kitchen goods. Usually the same representatives were offering both in our neighbourhood, and, funnily enough, the representatives seemed to swap between the two companies regularly.
The funny thing was, No-one seemed to take responsibility for their products any more. The booklets would come through the door with regularity - you would order. Then you wait for your order to arrive.
CAN YOU HOLD YOUR BREATH?
NOT FOR A LONG TIME ...
