Kid K'Nex is a construction toy, aimed at younger children of 3+, it consists of different shapes which can have rods or other shapes connected to them. This particular set includes lots of shapes that would help children make creatures; there are "googly eyes" (in the words of my three year old" but also ears and feet.

In the useful storage box you get 115 pieces in all, and a double-sided sheet giving you 75 different building ideas. Currently this set is available for £14.99 at Toysrus, but it is usually priced at £25.00 or more -our set was a gift. Most of the pieces are quite large; you will find 115 pieces doesn't look like as much as it sounds, once you have taken the rod connectors into account, but it is a fairly generous and well assorted set. Basic information
K?nex is a colour coded construction set, which comprises of ?sticks? and ?connectors? in various shapes and sizes, which are then joined together to make 2d and 3d shapes and constructions. Prices start at around £5 for a small set which makes one or two models to £100 + for the larger sets which have instructions for one or more larger models.
For pre-schoolers there is a range of Kid K?nex which has some larger parts and makes some great looking critters and vehicles.
Some parts are found in all kits, such as the basic ?sticks? and ?connectors? and others are found only in specific kits such as motors, coaster-car, and wheels.
Due to the number of pieces and the small size of many of the parts, K?nex and Kid K?nex are not suitable for under 3?s.

This is a toy for kids and adults alike, and dads especially love it, well my hubby does anyway. There are lots of different sized sets available, and they cost between £3.00 and £100. Before you buy though, it is a good idea to invest in a big plastic toolbox for storage, as you can be sure that once you`ve bought one set it won`t be long before you want more.
K`nex are lots of different coloured plastic pieces that are joined together to make models. They work on the same sort of basis as lego, but k`nex is much more versatile. Each of the larger sets comprises of 7 different coloured rods, varying in length from 1½cm to 19 cm. There are also many different sized pieces called connectors, as well as tyres, hub caps and pulleys.
