Advantages Advantages Stores a considerable amount of books, easy touch screen.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery doesnt last as long as claimed. Hard to find some free books.

10 points to the person who can name the song! I do rather enjoy my books, actually rather to the point of obsession, my lovely partner bought me a bar code scanner for Christmas 2 years ago, bizarre I know but i suppose it was helpful. Along with a PC programme I've been able to scan and catalogue my books and even I was shocked to find that there was well over 1400 and that doesn’t include the books I've bought in the past year! In despair at the avalanche of books threatening to take over the house he decided to try and find me an ereader. After lots of research (he's like that!) I ended up ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, beautiful

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not great for graphic novels

KOBO Touch: I want to start this review by explaining just how much me and my (soon-to-be) husband love and covet books. Our flat looks like a library with books from our childhoods, reference books, fiction and books purchased simply because they are beautiful. Once a book finds it's way into our home it is never let go, we cherish it forever. Which leads me to why we chose to get each other e-readers for last Christmas. We do not have any more space. We are getting married in April and after 12 years together we don't want to feel as though we are still living in student “digs” but instead ... more

Advantages Advantages Charge seems to last for ages. Feels robust, the back without the case has a lovely feel to it.

Disadvantages Disadvantages none that I've discovered so far!

I'm a huge book fan but I don't get time to read very often or when I do I don't have a book with me! I got some money for my birthday so I decided to buy myself an ereader. At that time the only one I'd heard of was the Kindle I did some research into them as I didn't really like the fact that with the Kindle you seem to be restricted to only getting ebooks from Amazon. The Kobo Touch was much cheaper than the equivalent Kindle and I could buy the books from almost anywhere, there's also 1 million free e-books on the Kobo website which are mostly classics which I haven't read many of. So far ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

So, my partner and I decided that we were both going to invest in e-readers to take on our honeymoon with us. We are both avid readers and, whilst I LOVE the touch and smell of an actual book, this was clearly the practical option. I did a lot of research and concluded that the Kobo would be the best option, over a Kindle. They were both the same price (£79.99 at the time). Main reasons: * I didn't like that with a Kindle you were fairly limited to getting books from Amazon * I preferred the touchscreen and page turning of the Kobo * I liked that with the Kobo you can borrow books from a local ... more

Advantages Advantages Long battery life, so realistic, very good build quality, WiFi

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not too responsive to gentures

Upon receiving this as a gift for my Birthday a couple of months ago I was instantly impressed. The build quality in particular was astounding. Although it is light enough to not become irritating to hold for a long time, the product is heavy enough to not feel cheap and not feel like it was about to break in my hands. Everything about its assembly seemed perfect - no part move, creak, bend etc... it is 100% solid and I love the Kobo for this. The capacity of the Kobo is great at 2GB to store all of my books on. Each GB is worth about 1000 books according to Kobo so I doubt I will be running ... more
