    Advantages Advantages Easy peasy lemon squeezy to use!!

    Advantix is basically the Kodak brand name for what is their 'APS' film cartridge. APS standing for Advanced Photo System. Now, what is the Advanced Photo System all about? Well, I shall tell you. APS is basically exactly what it says on the tin, in that it IS an ADVANCED photo system. Why? Well, firstly, "advanced" because APS film cartridges can only be used in conjunction with specialist APS cameras which can be recognised by the APS logo which is a black triangle with a piece cut out, which is replaced with a black circle.     I was given an Advantix 2000 for Christmas just over 2 years ago when it first came out, and it is definitely the best camera I've ever owned. Despite the age of the model, it still has a lot to offer. The camera is quite small (H 2.5",W 4.5 ",D 2") although maybe not as compared to the very new Advantix cameras, which are miniscule.This size is still small enough to fit into your trouser pocket. It is light weight, and very durable-2 years of drunken usage and it is still no worse for wear.     I was recently given a Kodak Advantix 2000 auto camera as a gift. It's great-looking, lightweight (only weighs 5.1 oz) and easy to use. Loading a film is simple with it's automatic film advance and rewind feature. It also has a built-in flash which automatically fires when needed. And you don't have to worry about 'red-eye' because whenever the flash is needed, the 'red-eye reduction' feature will automatically be activated. The camera can also take Classic (4"X6"), HDTV (4"X7") and Panoramic (4"X10') pictures on the same film which I think is ideal, especially when you want to capture that ... more
