There are two 'flavours' available, one for the 'square based' Palm III, IIIc, IIIe, IIIx, IIIxe, VII, IBM Workpad and TRGPro series machines, the other for the 'round based' M100 M500 etc

Still, it's a *lot* cheaper than one of those 3rd generation GSM phones!
As Kodak don't sell these any more I'll be naughty and link to the support page on their website.

The camera offers two screen resolutions; 640 x 480 and 320 x 240 pixels, bearing in mind this uses the same memory in your PDA, you probably don't want huge files anyway.
Download the supplied application onto your PDA, pop a couple of AAA batteries into the camera and you are ready to take pictures in seconds.
I work in IT and have to to send engineers to customers' sites.
The PalmPix ideal for snapping pictures of their billings, mugshots of the contacts, and in particular - exactly which rack in the computer room you want the engineer to look in!
The alternative is to suggest 'It's a brick and glass building over the road from another brick and glass building, your contact is a balding middle aged man and the equipment is in a cabinet towards the back of the room'
In the same way that your PDA isn't really a substitute for a proper notebook computer the PalmPix isn't a substitute for a proper digital camera, it is, however, very small and easy to use, if a bit limited in function.
My only grumble is that you can't link the photographs directly to an email on the PDA - instead you have to do a HotSync to your PC and then create the attachment there.
Still, it's a *lot* cheaper than one of those 3rd generation GSM phones!

Manufacturer's product description
Whether it's a must for business or just for fun, the Kodak PalmPix Camera adds visual capture capability to your Palm handheld. Compact, lightweight and easy to use, PalmPix lets you frame, take, review and transfer pictures to your Palm through its serial connector. Review your images in color on the Palm IIIc LCD, or view images in grayscale on other models. HotSync convenience lets you easily upload the image to a desktop or laptop computer where it can be accessed as a color 24-bit VGA (640 x 480) picture. Once transferred to the host computer, the image can be saved, manipulated and e-mailed as a standard BMP or JPEG file. Nothing could be easier.PalmPix is a simple, easy-to-use extension of your Palm allowing you to capture meeting notes from a white board, photograph an architectural model, document a building location, or verify retail display performance - whatever your preference. Its small, lightweight design lets you take it anywhere your Palm goes. PalmPix is compatible with Palm III, IIIc, IIIe, IIIx, IIIxe, VII, IBM Workpad, and TRGpro.
