(+) Fast printing, very good quality, cheap cartridges, fast card reader, good scanner (-) Fairly noisy when you start it and shut down, consumes ink very fast so it costs more.
Advantages: Fast printing, very good quality, cheap cartridges, fast card reader, good scanner Disadvantages: Fairly noisy when you start it and shut down, consumes ink very fast so it costs more.
fast, very crisp and has great resolution, even on normal print an normal paper.
I would recommend the purchase of this printer to any one if you don't mind a little noise for good printing and don't mind replacing the cartridges regular as it does consume ink very fast.
Another good point the cartridges they are very cheap about 9.99 for originals and is supposed to only use 50% of the normal ink to print, I was paying 23 for black and about 28 for colour original for cartridges for the HP7150 and 10 blk 16 colour for re manufactured....I now can buy always originals as the price is very cheap, and I don't have to sacrifice on quality...Hope this helps you make up your mind.
Having said that I have used the printer in the same way I used my previous one and to be honest it is spending the ink at three times the rate that my HP7150 spent ...

Advantages: Ultra Simple Set Up, Cheap Running Costs, Nice Looking Unit, Great Scanner Software Disadvantages: Noisy at start up
I was sceptical about buying a KodakESP as although the promise of extremely cheap printing is a big draw I had read a few horror stories but I decided to buy one after a bit more reading and I must say I?m really impressed.
I wouldn't say I?m a heavy print user but I do print a few documents out for work every week and my partner prints photos quite often too.
The easy set up and usage is something I haven't been use to with printers but the ESP 5250 was a dream, simple click in inks, easy paper loading and the software was installed and ready to go after 5 minutes.
My partner is also tends to get into trouble with things like this as beyond Facebook she is a bit of a worry with these sorts of things but I can leave her, on her own to select and print photos and I haven't yet had to come and help her.
The ink does seem to go very ...
UPDATED AT END
I have had my share of printers, HP, Epson, and prior to the kodak- I had an Lexmark X5470.
All of them were bad with the cost of inks- with the HP & Epson I always ended up using compatible inks- which weren't great, with the lexmark I always bought genuine ink- however- the photo quality was bad- it never matched colors & never gave me one good photo & trying to find out how to change the black ink for the photo ink proved impossible. The fax on it never worked.
I just bought an Nikon D60 DSLR- so I decided to buy a photo dedicated printer- these are printers that will print text too- but are designed for photo printing.
I saw the Kodak advertised on tv- claiming to be 10p per print- and give photo lab quality pictures, the inks are £6 for black and £10 for color (aprox).
I got it yesterday from amazon ...
