The back has a small (2cm) LCD screen. It has the eye piece which i have never used as i use the LCD screen to view the photos i am going to take. There is then three buttons saying 'Delete' 'Menu' and 'Review' Theses are the most commonly used buttons on the camera in my opinion. I was surprised how small it was at only 6.5 cm high and 8.5cm in width. I did have a fairly big camera before this one so it possibly seemed more extreme for me. The back has a small (2cm) LCD screen. It has the eye piece which i have never used as i use the LCD screen to view the photos i am going to take. There is then three buttons saying 'Delete' 'Menu' and 'Review' Theses are the most commonly used buttons on the camera in my opinion. Then on the left hand side is a circle with 4 arrows, these are used to navigate through photos, zoom in and navigate through the menu and settings. It has an 'Ok' button in the very middle. It is very comfortable to hold in your hand when your taking a photo which is always good. It is designed small so it is portable but not to small you couldn't find it in your bag! Now it has had a bit of wear it still looks very good with the silver coating however it has got scrathed. I bought this in about August 2006 and it has had a lot of use. It still looks good as they are not obvious. The only thing i would comment on the design is that the writing printed on it (like the buttons saying 'review' and on the side saying 'Kodak') has faded and almost come of. This did this very quickly after i bought it. So i now have to guess which button is review but lots of use could have been a contributor.
**Battery Life** The battery life is pretty average. It requires 2 AA batteries (not supplied) The batteries are inserted into the bottom if the camera right next to the memory card so in conviently placed. In the information manual it says you can also use CR-V3 but i;ve never actually heard of these? I would say the average battery life was around 200 photos and that is from my personnel experience. It could be better but i'm happy with it.
**Features** This camera does have some features. I've used some of them but not all of them as i don't feel the need for them. The most common feature is use is probibly black and white and sepia effects.

**Picture Quality** It does varie. It is a 5 mega pixel camera (Or approximately 5,360,000 pixels) The camera lets you put down the pixel number on photos so to allow more space on the memoy card or internal memory which is useful and i have used that eature a couple of times. Of course it brings the quality down. The camera is at its best when its's taking bright outdoor shots. It is good inside but it tends to need brightness to get the full effect of the camera. It isn't however very good in dark places, even it there is light. Also if you take a photo from a distnace they turn put pretty badly if i'm honest. I had one picture and it had pictured just the dust particles going past the camera at the time! I would say the picture quality was average and really nothing special.
**Video Quality** The video quality is pretty rubbish if i'm honest. The first thing and the thing that anoys me most is the fact it has NO SOUND! Why did they create a digital camera that could take video that had no sound? That was a serious flaw in the camera in my opinion. I had a go at the video and it was easy enough to use. So i took a video of my dog. I looked back on it and put it on the computer. It was incredibly soundless which annoyed me and the picture was very grainy. I wasn't impressed at all. Since then i haven't used the video feature at all and probibly never will. Not impressed Kodak.
**System Requirements** I have a Mac so had to find a camera that would be compatible with a Mac but also with a Windows so i could share them. Windows 98/98SE/2000/ME - 233 MHz - 64 MB - 200 MB Windows XP - 300 MHz - 128 MB - 200 MB MacOS X 10.x - PowerPC G3 - 128 MB - 200 MB
**Price/Where You Get It** I bought mine for £49.99 from Currys store. I thought this was a very good price. the saleman said if i paid and extra £50 i would get a printer with it but i said no. The printer is designed specifially for the camera and is a portable printer which does not need to be inserted into a computer. I already have a photo printer so i didn't see the need to invest but it is recommended by other Ciao reviewers. All good electrical stores will sell the camera and may sell the printer (it may have to be ordered) But have a look around to get the best deal.
**Whats Right With It?** I bought this camera because it was cheap. I needed a camera that i could use with friends and family and that i could rely on. I believe i got that. I liked the fact that it is small and stylish so your not bringing out a brick of a camera every 5 minutes. It is incredibly easy to use so if you want a camera that is simple then this really is for you. The pictures are quite good and i have some of my most preciaous photos taken by this camera. It is very comfortable to take pictures with and usn't heacy or awkward to hold at all. It comes with a wrist strap which i use all the time so you can leave it on your wrist and get it out when there is a photo opertunity. A really handy and reliable camera to have.
**Whats Wrong With It?** This would be a fantastic camera if the picture quality was that bit better and the video had sound! This annoyed me and the video quality is pretty poor and i found i never use it at all. Also it is scrathed and the letters have rubbed off which is annoying.
**Conclusion** This is a great little camera to have. The pictures are quite good and it is cheap and easy to use. Don't rely on it for video however. I was actually using the camera last night at a party and it did produce some very good pictures. So yes i would recommend it to reviewers.

Its so easy to use my 5 year old daughter can use, which she loves doing. video recording option which is easy to use, but obviously uses a lot of memory. Not much internal memory so therefore a memory card needs to be bought. ...

...etc, I thought getting a Kodak camera (decent brand) would do the trick but yet again indoors this camera is quite poor, the flash is just not strong enough for indoor or night shots, i'd give it an average in that area, other than that this camera has very few faults but if like me you want decent indoor shots i'd give this one a miss, outdoor shots do look a good quality though.
It is affordable and decent and ok for beginners as the camera has ... ...menu, review, Share, dedicated delete, 5-way switch for navigation, flash settings
top: shutter, mode dial (off, auto, movie)
Camera has self timer which is between 2 and 10 seconds
I always have to have a decent lcd screen and the one on this is not big, (1.5) but is sharp and bright which is important.
The easyshare software provided is simple to use.
Camera is lightweight, good for trips

The camera itself is compact, which is a real plus on nights out when you can just pop in in your pocket, the battery life is also extremely long. Being a kodak, it is easy to use and comes with the easyshare software, which is just as straightforward. There is a one touch transfer option, which I personally have never used, ... ...uploading photos to your computer and the web. There are not too many settings on this to confuse the inexperienced user with-just a simple colour setting, the number of pixels and exposure compensation. As well as the various options for the flash. Unlike many other digital cameras, when taking a photo, you do not have to hold the button at the "halfway" point to focus-this camera does it itself.
There is also a video mode, which does take good ...

...so clearly I'm happy with Kodak cameras. One of the main benefits this had over the 4530 was that it's a lot smaller and lightweight. I like that I can just slip this into a pocket or my bag and not have it take up lots of space or weight a lot. It still feels sturdy though in your hand.
As a point-and-shoot camera once again, Kodak have come up with the business. It's an incredibly simple camera to use (some may say too simple) and many people ... ...start using it. Everything is self-explanatory.
This isn't the most sophisticated camera and for someone wanting more functions, this may not be the camera for them. For those looking for a camera to have for those special occasions, this will more than do the job. Plus, if you get a printer dock you don't have to go anywhere to get your photos developed. Do them in the comfort of your own home. Or take the priner with you to any event and print ...
