I bought the Kodak C713 for a bargain price of under £50 in my local Asda store. I was looking for a decent quality camera at a low price that would allow me to take quick snaps.
I am not at all an expert when it comes to digital cameras, but I do know when something is perfect for my needs. This camera falls into my "perfect" category. I bought it at a rock bottom price and the picture quality is really good. The camera is also extremely easy to use and I'd recommend it for anyone who is perhaps new to the world of digital cameras.
The interface of the camera is extremely simple and the range of preset modes included with the camera help any user to match the camera settings to their current location and purpose of shooting.
I must admit, I haven't used the easy share software that came with the camera, I much prefer to access the device via My Computer and copy the pictures from here in Windows XP. However, the Easyshare software could be a great benefit for beginners.
As with most camera that you buy nowadays, the internal memory is pretty poor and a memory card is a necessity. Pick up a 1GB SD Card from your supermarket and a set of rechargeable batteries and your good to go!
