    Advantages Advantages Fun as well as clever.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life.

    I am quite a prudent purchaser because I am a writer and my income varies, so much so that I cannot just spend money without thinking as I used to when I had a full time, well paid job in the U.K. When I was looking for a Digital Camera, I read magazine after magazine. Some were far too complex for me, some were too cheap and cheerful to convince me that they could do what I wanted them to do. The Kodak kept coming up time and time again in the comparison tables of computer magazines, both in England when I was spending time there with my father, and in France as well, so much so that I was ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easy of use, reliability, strength, and picture transfer.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life can be a bit short and may suffer from residual charge memory which degrades battery life and necessitates complete discharge before the batteries can be fully re-charged

    I got a Kodak DX3600 camera November 2002 at our local Apollo outlet for just over 200 quid (which included the DX/DC docking station) because it fitted my requirements and was the best value for money I’d seen at the time. However, these prices may now be few and far between due to Kodak selling the Docking Stations separately for 59 quid on top of the usual asking price of 245 quid. Better deals are available and I’ve seen some on Amazon, which I would recommend, and Ebay if that’s your scene which seems to be around the 130 mark. If you just want to look then most of the main highstreet ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easy To Use Menu System, Excellent Photo Quality, Easy To Upload Pictures

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Low Battery Life, A Bit Bulky

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a bit thick when it comes to electronics. I absolutely hate having to read the instructions before I can get to work with anything. I am not a fan of reading (apart from op’s on ciao of course!) and don’t appreciate having to read a novel before I can play with a beloved new toy. When I bought my mobile phone I had to get my husband to read the instructions and then tell me what to do, call me lazy but I just can’t be bothered. That’s what prompted me to go for the Kodak DX3600. In fact all of the Kodak cameras that I looked at seemed ... more
    Disadvantages Disadvantages tempramental battery
    Kodak are the inventors of photography as we know it, and thus they are in the best position to create the cameras which will take us into the digital age. I am not necessarily into one brand dominating one market for their whole history as Kodak have done, as there is reasonable evidence for this sort of control creating an industry which is "de jure", or governed by standards which are statutorily put in place to stifle the market. However, as well as Kodak’s technologies being in some ways forced upon the market by their power, they have also become “de facto” standards as other makers have ... more
    Advantages Advantages Battery recharge & easy upload
    Disadvantages Disadvantages Bulky & expensive
    Good digital cameras do not come cheap, although you can pick one up from as little as £70, the less expensive ones use up more batteries and take less quality pictures. The Kodak 3600 Easy share digital camera although expensive is one of the best and easiest cameras I’ve used. The first advantage of this camera is that it has a docking station, which means when you want to upload your photographs onto the computer all you have to do is insert the camera into a desktop slot and press the button on the side. Instantly the pictures appear on your computer screen, without any action on the ... more
