This was my first digital camera, and, it served me well.
Appearance It's not as pretty as some other digital cameras around but, should that really be your main concern? One thing it does have is a good sized viewing screen, which is easy to see from any angle, making it a lot easier to share your pictures.
Ease of Use It is very easy to use. I had no trouble working it out straight away. Most of the buttons are self explanatory adn with just a little bit of experimentation it was easy to work out how to use them. The only downside is the little blue nipple (which is used to accept most settings and scroll) can be tricky to work, especially if you don't have small fingers.
Picture Quality I was amazed the first time I saw pictures printed. They looked just as good as non-digital pictures. The quality really is great. I haven't ever tried to print really large pictures and I guess the quality would go down but, for normal sized prints (e.g, 6 x 4) it's great.
Video One of the best features of this camera is the video recordning- there is no preset limit to how long you can record for. As long as you have space on your memory card it will keep recording- with sound! A huge advantage over some other digital still cameras
Battery Life The battey lasts for a really long time and doesn't take too long to charge. One annoying point is that every time you take the battery out you have to reset the date and time, which is a bit frustrating.
Easyshare Feature I never did come to grips with this feature, so I'm still not sure how it worked. I know you can pre-store email addresses in the camera so I think the idea is once the camera is in the camera dock (which you have to buy separately) you just press this button and then you can send the pictures on.
Software The supplied software was very easy to use but a little limited in its capabilities (e,g, you could only work with pictures on the camera or saved directly to your harddrive). There have been a couple of occasions where I've used the software to email photos and they haven't gone through. One more minor complaint- the user's guide only came in CD ROM format which is a bit annoying for a compulsive instruction manual reader like me.
Summary This is a great camera for first time digital users and those who want a camera that produces good quality pictures without too much fuss.

I could really use a new digital camera, the batteries in mine lasts about 5 minutes! Good review.
