It's sleek and black with that shiny texture that is so popular in today's TVs, I-pods, Freeveiw boxes etc. Admittedly, I am a sucker for these shiny black gadgets ( there's just something futuristic about them that I adore), and this printer is no exception. Keeping in mind that I am a bit of a cheapskate when it comes to technology - I will get the one that does what's necessary whithout spending all my worldy wealth (which isn't much, I can tell you). In this instance, I obtained this printer by buying a camera in Currys which came with either a free printer or digital photoframe. Kodak, having the experience in cameras and all things photography, I find are superior to a lot of other reasonably priced photography equipment. By chance, my first digital camera was a Kodak, and I after seeing the dodogy lighting quality of some others, bought by my friends, I have stuck with the brand to buy my second camera, and obtai nthis printer. I can honestly say I think that the brand is good value for money, and their equipment has rarely let me down.
I find it perfect for the average family snaps and ease of use that you want in a busy lifestyle. This printer does print to a superior standard to our HP inkjet printer that is connected up to our PC, and surprisingly fast. The 60 seconds is about right, and you have the option of changing the layout of the pictures and the number per page. The downside is, you do have to buy that special sized paper, which is often outrageously priced, but the printer comes with 15 test sheets, so I suppose we can't complain. You also have the advantage of docking the camera directly, without the fuss of a PC. The buttons and functions are simple, but it does have enough little feautures to keep the more technically aware members of the family happy. All in all, a good buy, I'd say.
Advantages: Very simple to use, good quality photos Disadvantages: None
I was very impressed when my hubby bought me the G610 easy share printer dock along with the easy share C613 camera for xmas this year. He has no idea about technology and does not normally surprise me with anything like this!
I used the camera straight away, fortunately he had the foresight to buy a memory card as this was the only thing not included in the package and the camera memory alone only holds about 6 pictures.
It was very simple to ... ...point and shoot. The viewfinder is a decent size and it is easy to view pictures taken and delete the ones you dont want.
The printer dock I tried later and again it could not be any easier. The instruction book is thick but only the first 18 pages are in English. Pictures show exactly what to do and I printed my first picture within minutes of plugging the printer on. All you do is sit the camera on the top of the dock press 2 buttons, review which ...
