This is an excellent mid range camera packed with features normally seen on high priced camera's. The photo's taken with this camera are excellent, very clear with good balance even on the lower mp settings. it has an great SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON glass (35mm equivalent) lense with 10x optical zoom which gives a great close up without the pixilation you get from digital zoom. however the 5x continous digital zoom does give decent results. it does give you a possible 50x zoom range You get good professional quality prints which can be printed upto 30x40 inches with the 7.1 mp sensor.
the high resolution electronic view finder gives you the same view as the 2.oin/ 50cm display screen which can be clearly viewed indoors our out giving a clear picture on screen in all weathers, making setting up your photo's a doddle.
Taking your pictures is a doddle whether your a professional or a beginner using the scene selector which gives perfect results in a variety of conditions including fireworks,flower, night scene, night portrait, portrait, flower,sort,candle light, sunlight and more, there are 16 different scene modes which automatically set your camera's shutter speed, iso, f.stops and flash. you also get smart scene which automatically sets your camera settings without any other input making this a truly point and click camera, digital stabalizing to give anti shake performance for a better quality photo, however if you like to be a little more creative with your photograph there is also a manual setting which allows you to set your camera up for yourself which could give you a more arty photo. with shutter speeds between 1/2 to 1/2000 sec and focus range from4.7 in to infinity with autofocus settings TTL multi-zone AF, center zone AF your snaps will come out perfect every time.

you only get 32mb on board memory but it does take SDHC/SD/MMC cards in the expansion slot.
this camera also gives limited editing on the camera which lets you crop your photo before uploading onto your pc.
it is also direct print compatible with the share button on the back of the camera,
it also has a 1/4in standard tripod mount.

The Kodak Easyshare ZD710 is a small camera (in comparison to many with this standard of optical zoom) which packs a lot of punch. The camera is very well designed and allows for the user to have a very comfortable experience when taking photos and is well put together so that you don't always worry about fingerprints on your screen, lens, etc.
I am a fan of this camera with little things like the flash being able ... ...used but then easily able to be called open with the flick of a switch.
The zoom buttons are perfectly placed allowing for zooming in and out to be done easily while viewing the screen and does not cause you to have to change your angles all of the time just because you want to zoom your picture.
The battery compartment is nice and secure yet easily accessible to change batteries (which are cheap to replace) and the sd card slot is very well placed ...

...my first camera was a kodak M753 and the kodak easyshare software realy impressed me. So when I "misplaced" my camera on holiday, I searched around for a new kodak from the Easy Share series.
One camera on the kodak website realy stood out for me, the ZD710. It seemed to offer all the advantages of a top of the range camera such as a large zoom and high ISO technology, without the huge pricetag.
You can purchace a new one for around £120 from respected ... ...to any telivision or pc with the right connectors to watch your videos and look ata any pictures taken.
Overall, the Kodak ZD710 works well as a camera for amateur of semi-professional use. The features are great and for that price, how bad could it be? Highly reccomended... ...

I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA FOR MY HUSBAND AS A GIFT,IT HAS GOOD ZOOM CAPABILITIES. THE ONLY PROBLEMS THAT I HAD WITH IT IS ,THAT IT IS SLOW. IT TAKES A COUPLE OF MINUTES TO PROCESS THE PICTURE SO GETTING AN ON THE SPOT PICTURE IS KIND OF IMPOSSIBLE.ALSO THE SHARPNESS OF THE CAMERA IS REALLY HIGH ,SO SOMETIMES IT LOOKS LIKE YOUR STANDING IN A FAKE BACKGROUND.OTHER THAN THAT IT DOES TAKE GOOD PICTURES HAS MANY FEATURES AND WAS A GOOD PRICE ...
