I have had one of these for a year, and I love it.
It has a USB port to connect to my PC, and it is small enough to sit next to my normal printer on my desk. It takes up the same amount of space as my telephone. But the beauty of it is that you do not need the computer to print out pictures form the camera if you have a Kodak compatible camera as there is the dock that sits on top. If you have the right rechargeable battery the dock will act as battery charger too.
The kodak paper stores away neatly underneath although the tray is a bit fiddly to clip in place for printing, it is a neat storage solution. The ink for it is integral so when you buy a pack of 50 sheets of paper you get a cartridge which prints exactly 50 sheets of paper. Run out of paper, change the cartridge. That works well as you always buy paper and cartridge in a pack, so I don't have the problems I sometimes have with my ordinary printer where the inks run out at different times, so you get funny coloured pictures if one ink has gone.
Pics are professional quality and you can crop, rotate, remove red eye and alter picture size all using this dock, so again, no need to upload and photoshop if you are basically happy with your photo but just want to tweak it. All this makes this such a quick and convenient item, I'm so glad I bought it.
The cost of the paper and ink cartridges means prints are not cheap at 30-35p each, but that compares well with going to a shop and of course, you get perfect results every time, you don't have to wait, or even leave the house.
It makes me print pictures instead of constantly just looking at them on screen - so now I have up--to-date photos of my loved ones in my wallet all the time! you can print 4 identical passport sized photos instead of 1 6x4 or two on one 6x4 sheet, so you have loads of flexibility.
The best thing is being able to take a picture of say, Granny with the kids, show her on the camera screen and then 2 minutes later give her the prints to take home of the ones she likes. Brilliant!
Advantages: Great value for money; sharp and colourful prints Disadvantages: Cheaper packages available
...cheap, point and shoot variety, kodak has gone one better here by offering its 5 megapixel, 10x optical zoom easyshare Z740, which in spite of its plastic build actually looks and feels like a serious contender.
an array of manual features and 18 automatic scene modes cater for various conditions, plus the camera can take small video clips.
as the name suggests, kodak has kept its package very simple to operate. the camera, powered by two AA batteries, ... ...inch screen faces the user.
the operator then uses the camera to select a particular image for printing again a one touch process.
abouth the size of half a loaf of bread, the printer dock is quiet in operation. the image is laid onto the supplied 6x4 inch glossy paper by a process of heat transfer which embeds layers of colour before adding a protective scratch and water resistant top layer. the process took 90 seconds per print, reasonable for ...

Advantages: Print colour pictures without a PC, charges the camera, good prints Disadvantages: Price of paper, may not seem simple 2 use
To begin with i got this with my C310 digi camera and was a bit daunted by it to tell u the truth. After a little bit of time reading the manual i got the hang of it though. The device is pure plug n play lovliness, sits beatifully next to my PC and really does look cool!! I am as i write this setting it all up, which is straight forward for anyone who has ever used any plug n play device before. It really is like having your very own lab in your ... ...never used one before so i dont have much to comapre it against) even though the camera i use is only 4mega pixels. Doesnt take too long for the printer to start and finish either, just a minute or so. comes out dry too!!
There is a slot in the side that allows you to input a card reader or another camera allowing you to print from another digital camera. There is a single button on the top of the device that when on acts like a ring of green light, ...
