I have for some time now wanted to get a digital photo frame so I could have all the photos that I take of my nieces and nephews when I take them places on display but they have all seemed very expensive for what they are.
When I saw the Kodak Easyshare M820 online for under £40 I jumped at the chance and I am pretty sure I have gotten myself a very good bargain. It was priced at £79.99 most places and even higher in some but when I saw Amazon selling it for only £38.99 I could not believe my luck.
This photo frame is so very easy to use and it has a built in digital audio player so you can add music to the mood when viewing the photos. It has a 8 inch TFT screen which is plenty big enough for the photos to be seen clearly from anywhere in the room.
The colours seem very vibrant to me and they look almost as good as they do on my PC monitor. The frame supports both JPEG and EXIF formats for still images and it can also play video in MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 format and the audio is MP3. It supports all the major memory cards such as Memory Stick, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, xD-Picture Card, CompactFlash Card, SDHC Memory Card and it has its own built in 128MB of memory.
As well as being very useful and good looking it is also very durable and does not look like or feel cheap, I have only had it for around four weeks so I have not really had time to knock it off the shelf when dusting or anything yet but I am sure it will take a bit of abuse without falling to pieces.
It is not a battery powered frame which is a good thing I think because I have heard of the older battery powered ones being very hard on batteries. This one comes with its own power adapter so you do not have to worry about it running out of batteries as you are in the middle of showing off your pics to someone.
It can be connected to your PC or laptop via USB and it requires an XP operating system and a minimum of 128MB of ram which I am sure everyone has much more than these days. It is a great little gizmo and for less than £40 I would recommend that everyone has one!
