...When it comes to choosing a new inkjet printer, you really are spoilt for choice. Add in the need for an all-in-one offering, for scanning as well, and things can become a little more complicated. Kodak plan to change this by introducing the EasyShare 5300 to the market. This is a really smart looking inkjet, in a nice white and silver finish that would not look out of place next to an iMac (though it will of course work with any Mac or PC). It offers the ability to scan, print from a selection of memory cards, and of course is a normal inkjet printer. It sports a 3-inch colour LCD screen, borderless printing, and claims of upto 32ppm in black and white, or 30ppm in full colour, which is pretty impressive.
Paper and inks are where the 5300 really excels. On the paper front you have two trays, one can be kept loaded with upto 100 A4...

Advantages: Super Fast, Excellent Quality, Easy to Use, Reliable, Portable Disadvantages: Ink runs out fast, might not be economical
...The Kodak Easyshare printer dock is an amazing portable printer you can take with you anywhere you go and prints pictures in less than 5 minutes! It's so great and handy you wont ever want to or have to pay to get your pictures developed or printed again. The pictures are printed on high-quality photograph paper you will have to purchase separately, but as a starter kit, you will get a set of paper and ink cartridges included with the printer. p
You can print as many pictures as you like, as you long as you have enough paper and ink. Another thing I found interesting is that you can watch as the picture is printed; all four phases: yellow ink, red ink, magenta ink, and finally, the finishing gloss. And there you have it: a nice crisp picture. You can now give as gifts, keep for yourself in an album, or do whatever you please because...

Advantages: So easy to use, quick, convenient, idiot proof for perfect results Disadvantages: A bit pricy per print. 6 x 4 maximum print size.
...I have had one of these for a year, and I love it.
It has a USB port to connect to my PC, and it is small enough to sit next to my normal printer on my desk. It takes up the same amount of space as my telephone. But the beauty of it is that you do not need the computer to print out pictures form the camera if you have a Kodak compatible camera as there is the dock that sits on top. If you have the right rechargeable battery the dock will act as battery charger too.
The kodak paper stores away neatly underneath although the tray is a bit fiddly to clip in place for printing, it is a neat storage solution. The ink for it is integral so when you buy a pack of 50 sheets of paper you get a cartridge which prints exactly 50 sheets of paper. Run out of paper, change the cartridge. That works well as you always buy paper and cartridge in...
