Advantages: Reliability is great
Disadvantages: price is too much, old, not very flexible

...Nowadays on all computers you will see many USB ports but some of the HP printers still use the old parallel cable and this is not good. I don't like the HP printer cable because I think that it is too heavy and is hard to move around because it is so thick. But the good thing about the cable is that it lasts a very long time as mine has lasted ages and reliability is great. The price I think is too much for this wire and I am not happy why they have put the price too high because this wire is very old. I first started using this wire with my old HP printer which I purchased nearly six years ago. The wire lasted very long but I was disappointed with HP as over the years they had not made a single improvement to the wire. Advantages: Speed of typed page prints
Disadvantages: black and white photo's appear to have a blue tint!

I bought my printer 2 years ago from Jungle (for about £100) but i needed to buy a parallel cable seperately (note of advice - buy as long a parallel cable as possible - this will come in handy). The installation was simple (on XP) with step by step on screen instructions from the disc. have previously owned a HP 610c and an epson stylus 200 (eugh!) I found this purchase a large step in the right direction. Printing around 9-12 pages per minute on black text it has saved me alot of time when printing off large documents. The design is much the same as all other HP printers, a bulky 'in your face' appearance, with as few buttons as possible. This printer is reasonably quiet compared with others in its price range.
