I've just purchased a WinTV product from Komplett.co.uk. While their website descibed an English product, when it arrived the unit was for the German market, with German documentation and power supply. I asked for a refund, but was informed hat this was not possible as the packaging had been opened! Be very careful when trading with this company. ...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS: I have never written a review previously but feel compelled to in this case. I bought a Canon EOS 450D from Komplett.co.uk. The camera did not come with any English manual or other documents. Komplett refused to supply saying the camera was sourced from mainland Europe and then did not return my subsequent emails. More seriously I then discovered that the warranty is NOT valid in the UK (European warranty). None of the above was made clear by Komplett.CO.UK at any stage. They did supply a separate UK power adapter so were clearly aware that the camera was for the UK. Canon have now said they will honour the warranty and provide manuals. ...

Do not use this company. I ordered an item which was faulty on arrival. Despite doing this type of thing as a job I have had to jump though hoops (and a load of meaningless testing/reinstallation) to get an RMA in order to return it. I have had to ship it back at my expense over 2 weeks ago and have not got any indication of when it will be tested. I've had a few orders from this site and their prices are pretty good along with their deliveries but if you have a fault and have to return an item then be aware. I've just forked out quite a few quid on a customised pc and they state that before this item is shipped that they give it a complete check over. Well this had an obvious fault that wasn't checked and now resulting in me trying to get a replacement or refund. I'd rather a replacement but ...
...for a refund. Either they don't give their customised pc's built by themselves a proper check or they just lie and don't check them at all. They give no positive feedback and I'm having to find out all the answers via un answered emails and un answered expensive phone calls. I ask a question and it just doesn't sink into some dunces head on the other end so I'm having to email each word like you do to a small child until I get the correct answer ...

For info on more bad customer service experiences with Komplett. I purchased a Samsung LE32R87BD HD ready television from komplett just before the new year. The first item was faulty which had to be returned to the retailer who sent me another one which also arrived faulty. Komplett expected me to pay for return shipping to them, I refused they then arranged a courier told me it was confirmed for a certain date when it was not. They also will not refund me until they have been refunded by Samsung which I have informed them is not legal but any argument with them falls on deaf ears. I would discourage anyone from purchasing from Komplett, the savings are not worth the hassle. ...
