Advantages Sharp images

Disadvantages none

Okay, so I finally got fed up of having to buy new film for my camera, taking photo's that didn't resemble what you saw through the viewfinder, having to take photo's of your dog or granny just to finish the film off and then losing your film, and to top it all off nearly getting run over whilst walking out of Snappy snaps looking at your holiday snaps.

I went digital.

I didn't want to buy a cheap digital camera as I'm expecting to have it for a while so I went for the Konica Digital Revio KD-310Z Digital Camera.
The KD-310Z satisfies my demands well, bringing ultra high-resolution 5-megapixel performance in a compact, lightweight, and easy to use body.

They tell me that the KD-310Z is one of the world's smallest camera in the 5megapixel, 3X optical zoom class. Its classic dark grey stainless steel alloy exterior with a green LED indicator provides a contemporary appearance. The camera's ultra slim profile is just right to slip into my Fendi handbag, while a sliding lens cover protects the lens from all the crap in my handbag and enhances the camera's visual appearance.

The high-performance, 3X optical Hexanon zoom lens and true-image zoom viewfinder give you professional performance results. The ultra high 5.23 megapixel CCD resolution ensures crisp, clear picture quality, even when you make enlargements.

Operational recording modes include single, continuous photo, red-eye reduction, flash on, macro, night-view portrait, flash off, landscape, self-timer, 3X digital zoom, movie, sepia, and black and white. Night Portrait mode uses a slow shutter speed and slow sync flash to capture a picture of someone at close range without losing a dimly lit background.

This camera also has new key custom modes and It also offers manual settings for exposure correction and white balance, which are easily engaged at the press of a button. I can't really comment more on these features being a novice (but well informed) user. Other added features include monochrome photo and continuous shot functions. The Macro mode allows shots as close as 6cm from the subject. Meanwhile, performance has been further enhanced, with only 2 seconds between shots and a 3x digital zoom.

In addition to recording images, the camera is able to record and playback short AVI video "movies" with sound, as well as voice memos. The camera boasts a full array of functions that can be tailored to specific users, from first-time digital photographers like little 'ol Katie here, to the pros.

This camera also memory card and memory stick card slot to increase the number of pictures you can store. Other highlights of the camera include: LCD monitor, flash, USB interface so you can shove it straight into your computer, rechargeable lithium-ion battery with recharging unit, AC adaptor and stylish blue LED indicators.

I still feel I have alot to learn about this camera and as I do the quality of my photo's will get better, but I'm glad I bought it rather than a cheaper one with less features as I'm sure that I'll still have this camera in 5 years time which is amazing for me! Overall I'm impressed with the camera as it is definitely an improvement on my old traditional camera.

It's not cheap though...I bought mine for £260 but it is definitely value for money considering the features and the humongous amount of pixels! Hope this review helps, happy snapping!
