of the cost of original manufacturers and can be used in many makes and models of digital device. Rechargeable digital batteries are rated in "mAh" which stands for "milli-ampere hours". This rating is used to state the storage capability of a battery, e.g. a 1000mAh battery would be capable of delivering 1000mA of current consistently for one hour whereas a 2000mAh battery would deliver the same 1000mA of current for two hours. Li-on rechargeable digital batteries can deliver 40% more capacity than comparably sized NiCd batteries and weigh less than the nickel-based batteries and develop no memory effect. U-Bop battery cells are environmentally friendly, feature a very high energy density and have no memory effect. All batteries are produced to the highest quality standards. A built-in microprocessor safeguards the cells by limiting maximum voltage and by protecting against deep discharge, short circuit and overload.Brought to you byU-BopThe Accessories Boutique

I have had my KD-500Z for nearly a year now and have not been disappointed. Its a really neat, compact camera with a large LCD for its size and quite feature packed.
In outside shots I've captured fireworks displays and action shots with no problems. I even got some reasonable shots at an outside concert - but not great - with the flash off. Sometimes in interior shots the auto-flash comes on when the light is quite acceptable and I also found the auto focus a bit slow in these type of scenarios but its quite easy to manually adjust this. The macro mode is quite good as well. I took a few pictures of insects at close range and they came out well.
Its very fast to be ready for taking from power up - at least twice as fast as the Kodak easyshare my father has. The dual memory slots can be useful - but practically I dont have any Sony computer equipment so I've stuck with 128MB SD memory and get around 100 pics from that with normal compression at max resolution. The battery lasts well enough for this. As it uses a custom battery its worth purchasing an extra one if you are going to be away for a while although the charger is fairly small and is auto-voltage sensing.
The small size does mean that I can carry in my jeans pocket and as the lens fully retracts into the body with the case protecting it I dont worry about damage.
I had a battery charger that went bad after about three months but Konica quickly dispatched me a new one and I have not had any problems since then.
Well worth considering!

This is a great little camera that won't disappoint. I've found the picture quality to be excellent and like the way a picture taken can be re-saved at a lower setting which helps if you're sending the pictures by email for printing etc. It also fits into a Jean pocket.
On the whole the image quality is excellent. I’ve only noticed a problem when taking pictures under artificial light that can sometimes cause the pictures to have a yellow tint but ... ...macro mode is very useful and can really focus on small text etc. The only downside’s I’ve noticed with this camera is it can delay quite a bit when taking a picture if you’re using the Auto focus mode causing you to miss the shot but turning auto focus off can cure this. Also I noticed the sliding cover has started to mark the front of the come and the camera strap supplied within the box is long enough to wear the camera like a medallion!!

The ultimate camera in the Digital Revio range, the 5 megapixel KD-500Z features Konica's pace-setting Dual Slot memory technology. So you can use both SD Memory Card and Memory Stick recording media. You can choose which to use for a particular shot, or swap images from one to the other - effectively doubling your memory options. You'll have plenty to capture too. An amazing start-up time of only 1.4 seconds, and a negligible pause between shots, means you'll rarely miss a photo opportunity - including up to 30 seconds of movie! The Macro mode gives you superlative close-ups. In this Mode you can switch between Wide-Angle, and get as close as 6cm, and Telephoto, getting as close as 50cm and so staying far enough away from small, sensitive subjects to avoid disturbing them. The zoom performance is equally impressive. Combine the 3x optical zoom lens with the 3x digital zoom, and you have a 9x effective zoom performance. The experienced photographer will find plenty to enjoy in the KD-500Z! Five different menus provide many tasty options. For example, you can lock the focus or the exposure, compensate for a lighter or darker exposure, and select your own White Balance option. But despite its sophistication, the KD-500Z is very easy to use. Just three buttons control the main functions: Play, Display and Delete. The TFT color LCD monitor has a backlight to ensure bright images. And a simple, four-way button lets you cycle through the various flash and shooting modes without going through the menu system. Sleek, flat styling in a slim, handsome, stainless steel case ensures a high quality look and feel. Naturally, you get all the regular features: Auto Flash, Flash ON or OFF, Night Portrait, Red-eye Reduction, Self-Timer. And some not so regular, such as being able to add up to 30 seconds of voice to comment on your still shots, or as a voice memo. But for real attention to detail, how about this: for digital camera users who miss the reassuring sounds of film cameras, Konica have even added the shutter click sound from the award-winning Hexar RF!
