Having only really used poor quality digital cameras in the past (the big bulky ones, with terrible quality pictures), I was very impressed with the Konica Minolta Dimage XG.
The quality of the pictures is superb, almost like you aren't using a digital camera. The high quality is a substantial difference to the blurred and speckled pictures of so many other digital cameras. The quality alone is worth buying the camera.
As a bit of a technophobe, this camera was fantastic for me. Whereas I'd prefer to use a point and shoot camera, this one was really easy to use. I even mastered the video recording feature (2.5 minutes length), without help!! :-)
The only downfall to this camera is the rechargable battery. Although lasting a great deal of time, the inability to use "ordinary" batteries means that a replacement battery in a hurry is not possible.
The camera is a brilliant buy and I would recommend it to anyone.
