this was my first digital camera and having looked around suppliers on the internet and also having handled it I decided it was good and cheap eneough for my first attempt. I am very pleased so much that if i ever decide to up grade I will remain with this range. Aprevious reviewer complains about the lens cap, this common to lot's of cameras and is easily resolved with a small drill and abit of wire. I recently used the camera at a sports meeting and was most pleased with the results. have now had the camera for six months and whether it is 'point and shoot' or something more personal is avery good camera.Also while wittnessing a practice by mountain rescue together with a Royal Navy helicopter I was able to capture extremely distant shots (zoom is 8 x manual & 4 x digital coupled with 3 movie sequences I really enjoyed the experience of showing off to my friends later.
