Transform your QMS Magicolor laser printer into a full-color document service center with the QMS SC-200 digital copier/scanner. Attached via a parallel cable, the QMS SC-200 scans any hard copy document-such as photos and magazine clippings-printing full-color copies on the printer. It's also a desktop scanner complete with image editing and text conversion software. Using a no-nonsense keypad, the QMS SC-200 is very easy to operate. Simply place a document or artwork on the scanning bed, press copy, and watch as the QMS Magicolor printer delivers brilliant, digital color copies. Setting the copy count, resizing a document, and adjusting quality are performed with the same push-button ease.

Power Device: Power adapter - external, Power adapter
Power Consumption Operational ( Standby ): 18 Watt
Advantages: Small, excellent quality output, takes glossy paper and networkable too Disadvantages: Slow to print in full colour
...Having paid £250 for this printer, I have found it to be an outstanding quality colour laser printer for home use.
To start by looking at it's size, the printer takes up much less desk space than my previous colour laser printer. It is 430 mm wide, 395 mm deep and 341 mm high. On the front of the printer is a fold down tray were you feed in the paper, which then comes out at the top. Above the paper tray is another fold down area where the toners go.
In terms of print QUALITY this printer gives an excellent finish with a semi-shiny appearance. Having compared it to printers costing over twice as much (such as the OKI 5000 series) the print quality is as good, in my opinion. KonicaMinolta describe the print resolution as PhotoART-9600TM resolution (600 x 600 x 4) and I have to say that it's excellent.

Advantages: Value for money, excellent print quality, compact size Disadvantages: Can only be used with Windows - no Mac or Linux drivers
...I bought one of these recently for home use and have been very pleased with it. The value for money is brilliant - the excellent quality of the colour prints and the speed at which they are delivered, are quite a surprise in this price range. Colours are strong and the print quality is virtually photographic. The build quality is sturdy too, moreso than I would have expected at this price - though having had several Konica and/or Minolta products over the years, I have always found the products to be quality ones.
The compact size of this printer is a huge bonus - not being much larger than an inkjet printer makes it easy to position in a convenient place (bearing in mind that it is very heavy!). I have mine set up on a (strong) shelf, which I had not expected to be able to do with a colour laser printer - as someone who works...

Advantages: Easy install, great interface options, very fast black output Disadvantages: colour output very, very slow at A4 size
...Ok, so laser printers are more expensive than inkjets. BUT; when you look at the saving that can be made on consumables it starts to be a bit of a no brainer as to which you buy!
this printer cost me a little over £200 delivered, which was a great deal, they are usually around the £250+ area but still a good deal at that.
It's got a pretty strange layout, that whilst totally functional is not that pretty, it's got a sort of front-side face, which is the pretty bit with the logos and control panel on, and a back panel which is just plain, but the other two 'ends' leave you wondering which way round your supposed to put the printer, the paper sits in an open feeder, and bit like a manual feeder only for lots of sheets, on one side, which also has the power and interface connection on, so if you want to be able to replace paper you have...

Although Konica Minolta have now ceased making cameras, there are still a few of these around (and warranty/service has been handed over to Sony).
