I purchased this amp 6 years ago for £270 along with the Arcam Alpha 7SE and a pair of B&W bookshelf speakers.
As the C320's bigger brother, the C340 comes with the same impedance-sensing circuitry and an extra 10 watts of power on tap. So basically this amp will run any pair of speakers under a grand with minimal effort.
Its not a looker this one, all the money is spent on the internals. No fancy lights or polished aluminium here, but the build quality is exellent, its built like a battleship and shares the same dull gray colour as one. A remote is included with all basic functions but you cant switch the unit on or off from it.
If you can put up with dull styling in return for the sound quality you get with from the C340 your in for a treat. It has a spacious, open soundstage and great stereo imaging. You can place individual ...

The key cover is the same gently-closing type as used on acoustic pianos, ensuring peace of mind during children's lessons. These instruments are designed for simple operation and ease of use. The C-series is an example of Korg's \Piano eXperience'' philosophy developed from extensive research into every aspect from sound-creation to speaker system design, with the aim of producing the most beautiful sounds possible. The piano sounds in PCM memory were sampled from a world-class grand piano, with two levels of keyboard dynamics for the C-340. The Korg C340 uses the Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3) keyboard that is also found on Korg's top-class synthesizers, and that is based on the same mechanism as a grand piano. Excessive springiness is eliminated to ensure excellent response for any type of passage, ensuring that the keys will return as quickly as if they were being pulled up by your fingers. The hammers of this Japanese-made keyboard are graded into four weights, with a heavier playing feel in the lower register and lighter feel in the high register. Each unit is carefully made in the Miyama-cho factory in Kyoto, famed for its superb level of craftsmanship. With environmental concerns in mind, the hammers are made without lead. A Key Touch Control function lets you change the way that your playing strength will affect the sound output. This allows you to enjoy performing with the optimal response for your own playing touch.
