The Kaossilator is a portable music synthesiser. It has a jack for your headphones and runs with AA batteries. All you do is switch it on and turn the jog dial to change between beats, sounds and ambience tunes. you can loop individual sounds and record new sounds to it and create your own song on the go. It can easily be connected to your MAC or PC so you can record your loops into your sound recording software for exapmle into logic or garage band and rearrange the loops there if necessarry. It alowes you to change the bpm rate and change the keys. You simply play the different tunes by moving your finger over the touchpad of Kaossilator. Kaossilator- the mini synth thats REALLY for on The go

Advantages: Portable -X-Y touch interface, Can stack sounds, Make loops, Over 30 different scales
Disadvantages: 100 patches is a bit limiting, No MIDI implementation, comes with no AC Adaptor

The Korg Kaossilator has really proved to be worth the money. Although only containing about 100 different patches, (grouped as 20 Lead, 10 Acoustic, 20 Bass, 10 Chord, 20 SE [Special Effects], 10 Drum, and 10 Pattern), its portability(uses four AA batteries for on the go usage) and simplicity (if you can slide your finger, then you can be a master on this machine) for a synth cannot be matched. It's worked by you basically picking a sound, whether it be a lead synthesizer sound or bass-drum sound, and sliding your finger across the pad to make different pitches with the sound. You can combine or "stack" beats and notes to make a loop which you play your melody over. There are thousands of combinations to be explored and used. It is really simple I can be on a bus, plug my earbuds into the headphone jack, and make crazy beats ...

This is where the PDA's operating system and application software is built into. You see Pocket Word and other pocket programs that loads up with Pocket Windows? It's all here, so even when you fully reset the PDA and get rid of all data, the operating system etc will still be here and safe. Installed RAM: 64MB. This memory is shared by the PDA from personal storage to required memory to run programs. It doesn't look like much, but PDA programs are usually very small in size i.e. 40KB, so the RAM is plenty enough. Graphics: Intel 2700G graphics processor with 16MB video RAM.
