Since my wisdom teeth came through a few years ago, I've had nothing but trouble with one particular tooth, it has only pushed halfway up and doesn't want to come through anymore, so I kept getting infections in there no matter how well I brushed! I finally saw my dentist about it last week and she sorted me out, but for the past few months, I've finally started using mouthwash to keep it extra clean and infection free. My mouthwash of choice (mainly because it was on a half price offer in Boots when I went to buy one!) was the newest Listerine mouthwash on the market, which is Listerine Total Care. Review of Listerine Total Care

Listering total care- totally amazing!

Advantages: 6 oral benefits, available in 2 sizes
Disadvantages: costs a bit extra

Firstly i have to start by saying i love this mouthwash! After using this your mouth feels extremely clean. I find that it even tastes like something you would use at the dentist, it is quite strong so not for those who don't like a strong minty taste, if you are one of those kind of people i would reccomend a cooler mouthwash such as theothers in the listerine range. I started using listerine total care after seeing the advert saying it has 6 benefits in 1 and as i sometimes scratch my gums with my toothbrush i thought i would give it a try to make them stronger. And i have to say that honsetly it has done the trick. No more weak gums and extremely clean teeth and fresh breath. Review of Listerine Total Care

Why I only use it half the time...

Advantages: Good value, tastes fine, highly recommended by dentists
Disadvantages: I am yet to see results and it didn't work on it's own for my more major sensativity problems...

the various tissue and nerves which are covered in what we think of as our teeth, when this wears down the nerves become exposed and become sensative to anything cold, hot or anything that causes damage or errosion to them such as acid and sugar, being glucose and fructose (from fruit) This causes a great deal of pain as when these nerves come in contact with these foods as they contract - ouch, in short. Usually if this is on one tooth it is solved simply with a filling (ouch again) this fills in the hole and covers the nerves to protect them. The idea of sensodyne is that it has flourine in it, which provides a layer over the teeth to protect these nerves. This can solve the problem for people with minor problems with sensativity.
